Are you wearing your goggles too like Dr. Fauci suggested?

No goggles......just a mask.

I understand the science, I’m a medical professional.

A real one.......not a Facebook Grad.

Do you burn your clothes after you get home from a day of mask wearing?

Do you put your mask into a medical waste bin to be picked up by hazardous waste companies and incinerated?

If these masks are stopping the virus, then they are medical waste and need to be disposed in accordance with medical waste laws.

When you go out the mask is collecting virons and so ar your clothes, your hair, your eyes, those useless rubber gloves you undoubtedly wear everywhere and every cell of your exposed skin.

Did you know that right now your body has 30,000,000,000,000 individual virons floating around? Yet you are still alive.

Tell you what. Lock yourself in the basement and wait for the vaccine that won’t work. Just stay away from me and I promise the trillions of virons I carry won’t infect you.

Deal?

Some things never change.

A VERY interesting article -- surprisingly in the NYT.

Oh, and you are absolutely correct, of course, in your conclusion! Cheers!

We might actually agree on something........I have my doubts about an affective vaccine.....guess we’ll see.

The mask doesnt stop any SARS type virus.

By wearing a mask you’re keeping you breathing, talking, coughing, sneezing mist, vapors from disbursing a few feet from you.

The mask keep your Breathing/Lung particles close to you. The travel is greatly reduced. When someone else also wears a mask and there is distance between you both.......there is a dramatically reduced risk of exchange of particles or exhaled air.

So if someone is infected and they don’t know it for a few days, the virus can be spread very easily. If a mask is worn by all, that’s extremely reduced.

In surgery, the surgeon wears a mask to protect the patient from His germs. Not to protect the doctor from the patient’s germs.

I don’t burn my cloths, but I don’t wear the same pair of shoes in or around the house.

I’m careful but not to worried........I’m more concerned with infecting others than become infected myself. I think I’ll be fine, the older man getting food might not be. The Grandma picking up a prescription could end up in very bad shape.

At least they passed actual “laws.”

Edicts by only governors to wear burkas or go naked from the stomach down shouldn’t be allowed.

What’s amazing is how some people have to polarize every issue. now we have Maskers and Anti-Maskers, with the Maskers thinking they are the Chosen Ones, better and smarter than the ones who aren’t wearing masks. The Anti-Maskers of course will be selected out of the gene pool for refusing to comply with obviously sensible mask requirements. They are the stupid ones, the “others”, untouchables, dregs, deplorables.

We’re apparently tougher because this one is not really all that deadly.

Wonder how many tombstones have those words on them?.

The tide is changing.......be ready, you will be wearing a mask until this virus is under control.

All you anti-maskers are what is wrong with this world. We will have no choice but to re-educate you, and failing that, you will be eliminated.

Right, Democrats are almost universally for them while Republicans are divided. That’s the split. My guess is if you drilled into the Republican numbers, you’d find the most opposed to masks also tend to be the most conservative. Likewise I’ll bet the most liberal Democrats are even more heavily in favor of them than Democrats at large. That’s why I say there’s an ideological piece to it.

I hope you guys who think masks do nothing are consistent, and when hospitalized for surgery, you will insist that no doctors or nurses treating you wear masks. If not, you’re not just idiots, you’re hypocrites as well.

The article says there was still the liberty & freedom vs “public health” divide. Good question about whether it broke along party lines. I would expect the Wilson Democrats were pro-mask.

I’m surprised how the pro-mask sentiment took over the once-free West.

Meanwhile the assclowns are saying we have to wear masks to prevent the spread of the virus AND we have to keep wearing them until we get ‘herd immunity’ like in Sweden.

Seems to me some people are confused about how herd immunity works.

I wouldn’t interpret it to mean that only those seen cities had mask laws. I think they were the first to quickly adopt mask laws. But cities throughout the country probably adopted mask laws.

Good point that the cities actually PASSED LAWS rather than depending on public health authority edicts.

So, you think it’s wise to not wear a mask and infect your elders, who are most at risk? So much for “respect your elders...”

Both sides think they’re the Chosen Ones. Which is the biggest problem in America today. Nobody is willing to actually listen to anybody else and entertain the possibility they might be wrong or maybe there’s a middle ground. We’re all 150% or nothing.

What elders? I'm 64. I think that places me in the elder category, and I have no problem with people NOT wearing masks.

Drink a lot of Kool-Aid, dino?
