I just talked to a life long friend of mine from the Boston area, my age, a pubbie, but has always hated my love of guns.
He told me today, that he and both of his MA living daughters {in their 50s} have sought and received "PERMITS TO CARRY" in the communist state of Mass.
It took them over four months to get approval.
They are all out looking to buy pistols and he called me for advice.
I told him two things:
1) First buy a shotgun for your home defense.
2) Go to a range that sells guns and shoot various types of pistols and shotguns before you buy any weapon.
After you are satisfied that you can handle that weapon{s} buy and practice often.
Shoot, shoot and shoot some more.
You have got to love your weapons, and keep them where you can access them, not locked in a gun 'unsafe'.
You cannot walk more than 18 feet in any direction in my home without access to a little friend and I have a large house {more than 12 rooms and 3,500 + sq ft}, so you know that there are many friends.
I like to call my little friends my “pals/pows”. All my little pals are just waiting to say pow.
