The third in a series of monthly Democracy Institute/ Sunday Express polls has given President Trump a surprise lead over his Democrat rival of 48 percent to 46 percent, his clearest lead yet.
Crucially, President Trump has a lead of 48 percent to 43 percent in the swing states Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin which would put him back in the White House with an electoral college tally of 309 to Biden’s 229.
Specifically, in Florida Trump has a 47 to 45 point lead, Minnesota (where the black lives matters protests began) a 46/45 lead, and New Hampshire a 46/43 lead.
The polling suggests Mr Trump is emerging as the race leader because of a belief he is best in handling the economy.
With a third of voters putting the economy as the top election issue and 66 percent thinking that the economy is bouncing back after coronavirus, voters believe that Trump is better for the economy by 57 percent to 43 percent.
Writing for the Sunday Express, Director of the Democracy Institute Patrick Basham suggested that the Biden campaign may have “reached its high water mark”.
He said: “Although Biden remains in a competitive race with Donald Trump, and may well do so until election day, his support isn’t growing. And, tellingly, almost all of the issues that matter most to voters are trending in President Trump’s favour.

I have a feeling that it will be Trump causing a crisis in the Democratic Party fairly soon. There is NO way he is going to let them get away with anything so close to November.
They say that people don’t pay attention to a POTUS race until September ... early September would be a perfect time to start draining the swamp of some of its more infamous members and link them to the fool that is running for the Dems’s VP spot since their POTUS candidate is half checked out of reality. If executed right, it could build momentum through September and October thus making him peak in time for election day :-).
The good people of Minnesota care about actions more than cheap words...They've seen Trump's actions and they've seen Black Lives Matter actions... Minnesota will stand with us.
This seems like good news. But we should know to never trust polls. Either good or bad. Ignore all polling data

Exactly. Remember how Hillary was supposed to win? The fact that they are showing any lead for Trump means that they are throwing in the towel, realizing he’s going to win no matter what. No matter how much voter fraud they can do.
Biden’s dementia must be worse. Hiding him isn going to help.

This and Rasmussen are the only two polls that seem to be in favor of Trump ( and Rasmussen’s isn’t even that good exactly when it comes to who’s leading ( it still gives Biden the lead ) ).

I just talked to a life long friend of mine from the Boston area, my age, a pubbie, but has always hated my love of guns.
He told me today, that he and both of his MA living daughters {in their 50s} have sought and received "PERMITS TO CARRY" in the communist state of Mass.
It took them over four months to get approval.
They are all out looking to buy pistols and he called me for advice.
I told him two things:
1) First buy a shotgun for your home defense.
2) Go to a range that sells guns and shoot various types of pistols and shotguns before you buy any weapon.
After you are satisfied that you can handle that weapon{s} buy and practice often.
Shoot, shoot and shoot some more.
You have got to love your weapons, and keep them where you can access them, not locked in a gun 'unsafe'.
You cannot walk more than 18 feet in any direction in my home without access to a little friend and I have a large house {more than 12 rooms and 3,500 + sq ft}, so you know that there are many friends.

The poll is good, and we need to see more surveys like that published. But don’t get too complacent.
