I know. I have to plan for inflation in my retirement plan. Severe inflation. And I have to trust that this flock of day care raised neglected young adults don’t take their grief and anger at their neglectful mothers out on all of us, those of us who raised our own with actual love and compassion, And withdraw govt funding.

We’re taking from them why shouldn’t they take from us.

“They want the whole $3 trillion package they passed in the House or nothing.”

Then give them NOTHING.

Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead. I wouldn’t deal with a democrat for anything. These crooks are the enemy and we need to deal with them accordingly. Do not give these bastards one more dime of my grandchildrens future.

The American People need to pull their heads out of the sand and back this President or they can learn to make soup out of the neighbors cat. With the Senate, the Congress and President Trump, he can put us back on top.

If we can’t keep our very successful president, and instead turn it all over to the dems, then this country is no longer worth saving.

Every year I wonder why the hell I work let alone the 2 jobs. I’m being played. I’m a sucker and a loser. I need to get myself fired.

It isn’t just the GOP caving. Trump wants the $600 per week extended, too. Many employers can’t get their front line, lower level workers to come back to work because they can make more with no risk by staying home.

As long as the business is opening, these people HAVE to go back to work. All they need to do is audit and track down who all was offered their job back and refused. Because at that point, you are ineligible for ANY unemployment. Not just the $600 bonus, but everything else you were getting from the State as well!

Employers aren't required to report employees who refuse to return, but they can. It needs to be MANDATORY for any employer with employees on unemployment.

Un-freakin’-believable. How stupid.

I’m okay with extending the benefits for longer than the standard 6 months per year for unemployment but not the extra $600 a week. That’s just crazy.

No more than $200 week or 60% of their pay when laid off so there’s an incentive to get back to work. Insanity was paying $600 a week to start with. To do it again would be doubling down on crazy.

I don’t even recognize this country anymore sometimes.

“Best thing that can happen is that Trump stand his ground on principle veto this.”

And then we’ll lose the election.
Win the battle to lose the war.

I’ve said the exact same thing, which apparently makes me a commie.
Some FR people would rather “stand on principle” and lose the election than win. It’s insane.

“Win the battle to lose the war”

The battle is offering an incentive to get people off unemployment and go back and the results of that battle is a lower unemployment rate

They’re the biggest bunch of cowards you’ll find on this planet. When Trump is gone, those GOP slugs will be too. They are so damn stupid that they don’t understand the only reason they are around is because of Trump.

If you don’t extend the federal UI benefits, we will lose the Senate and Presidency.
What do you think will happen then?

Me too. I agree 100%. The extra $600 a week only results in a higher unemployment rate which the dems are already using as a political issue.

The battle will be voting for D instead of R.
FR isn’t a good representative of the average American.

I agree with the UI benefits but not the extra $600. That only keeps unemployment rate higher. Two restaurants had to close in my area because nobody would apply. The dems want to run on jobs (an issue they never thought they would have 5 months ago).

” Two restaurants had to close in my area because nobody would apply.”

No, two restaurants had to close because the government shut them down for months. Under current conditions, what do you think a waiter will actually make?

My gym is probably about 5-10% as “crowded” as it used to be.
Restaurants are extremely empty. No one is traveling. The true fallout from this is far from over.

I would far prefer we “cave” and win POTUS and the Senate vs lose all to the Dems.
