I just bought a Remington 700 this morning. It has gotten so complicated that it surely keeps some people from buying.

The last one I bought was 3 or 4 years ago and much less trouble.

It took almost an hour for approval, by then I was home. I have to go back tomorrow to pay for it then wait until Wednesday to pick it up.

It was one heck of a bargain. Walmart is clearing them out and this was apparently the last one left. I was paying for a tire when I noticed it. $199.00 for 700 ADL with a scope already mounted and bore sighted.

Years ago I bought a used Rem 700 ADL in .308 from a local shop for $299. It looked like it had never been shot. I thought I got a great deal. Your deal puts mine to shame. I didn’t even get a scope.

WHAAAAT! I paid $129.00 for an ADL back in 1971 with no scope! Impressed checkering, not carved. You got a bargain!

Inflation rate calculator says my 1971 Remington should cost over $800 today.
