Washington(CNN) President Donald Trump on Thursday joined Republicans who are publicly criticizing GOP Rep. Liz Cheney, who has broken with the President in regard to American military engagement overseas and support for Dr. Anthony Fauci during the coronavirus pandemic.
Trump's tweet Thursday morning prompted Cheney to publicly insist that she will continue to advocate for her foreign policy views.
Tensions between Cheney and House Republicans, which were aired during a conference meeting earlier this week, have illustrated intra-party divides not only over foreign policy but the extent to which congressional Republicans should remain in lockstep behind the President.

There's enormous opposition on capitol hill for Trump's drawn down on troops stationed abroad no matter how long we've been there, oh say 70 years or so, or the real necessity of such a thing in 2020.
They have their views and Trump has his as CIC and the chief executive. They are in separate, co-equal branches of gov't. This is much ado about nothing.
Can anyone tell me when Trump hasn't supported Fauci, Birx, Redfield, et al?
Other coverage and even CNN's own story here says the disagreement is about foreign policy so why the throw away line? (that's rhetorical... it's CNN after all)
