The president of the American Federation of Teachers warned Wednesday that strikes due to unsafe working conditions in schools were possible in Texas, Florida and Arizona — all states with high coronavirus infection rates.

“If people die while they are educating kids, you eviscerate any credibility that you would have going forward about whether or not a school is safe,” Randi Weingarten told POLITICO.

Earlier this month the American Federation of Teachers, which represents over 1.7 million educators, adopted a resolution which demands the only schools that should reopen for in-person instruction should be in places where the infection rate of COVID-19 is below 5 percent.

Florida has strong laws against public employee strikes. Go ahead, Randi, shove your members into that wood chipper.

I figure every week the strike goes on as one less week the kids are not indoctrinated.

But who will teach them about all the different ways to have sex and about transgenders and cross dressers and all 32 genders?

Give home owners their school tax back.

In Texas, it’s 60% of the total tax.

OK. Cut or redirect school taxes and let private schools and home schools do a better job for half the cost.

” places where the infection rate of COVID-19 is below 5 percent. “

Saw a good report that a positivity rate of less than 5% shows too much testing!

“Less than 10%” positivity is probably a fair standard.
Not that the media cares about what is ‘fair’!
Only the advertisers they get money from matters to them.

...all states with high coronavirus infection rates.

And yet, all states with far lower mortality rates than say New York.

If it were me in charge...You can go on strike, however you will get fired and won’t get a penny of unemployment. Your choice.

Teachers refuse to go back to work afraid of getting infected by students who are not affected but through out the entire scamdemic grocery workers, walmart and lowes employees have been around millions with no uptick.
