Hollywood celebrities cheered their approval when major league baseball players took a knee during Thursday’s season opening games on both sides of the country. The players, who were sometimes joined by their coaches, knelt during the playing of The Star-Spangled Banner.
The kneeling was their way of paying tribute to the Black Lives Matter movement as well as to former NFL star Colin Kaepernick, who started the trend when he began kneeling during the national anthem at football games. President Donald Trump has expressed his disapproval of kneeling during the national anthem, saying that he will stop watching sporting events in which athletes show disrespect for the American flag.
Celebrities were elated on Thursday when baseball players defied the president and knelt on the field before their matches began. Rob Reiner payed tribute to players who knelt during the match between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Francisco Giants.

I am not supporting MLB or any team. I have put away my former favorite team’s merchandise and will not click, tune in, turn on, or listen to the radio of any team that is a part of MLB.
I am also a member of the Nielson Ratings and have my meter on the charger.

i was REAL sad to see MLB go woke... all pro sports that I had an interest in are gone.... we can only hope in what comes in the next chapter of this extreme national divide involves them being reborn in a suitable fashion. not holding my breath........ the commies have totally won the culture war... we’ll soon know if they’ve won the government as well.
For the Dodgers only one player, Mookie Betts, did it.
If certain forces have their way, the phrase “paying tribute” will not be metaphorical.
Both the NFL and MLB are dead to me. It’s bad enough to intermingle sports and politics but when you bow to the Marxist mob, that really crosses the line. Millionaire athletes that hate their own country is something I will not and never will support.
Televised sports entertainment has been in the same decline as Hollywood (both owned by the same broadcasters and carriers) for decades and no matter how much they cheer each other on, their fate has already been sealed.
As vaudeville went before them, so goes televised sports entertainment.
