We have a general (Trump) and a vision for victory. But the middling officer corps are quite confused in their loyalties, or perhaps the enemy swapped their winning strategy books for a book of surrender techniques. To oppose a violent mob, you (1) concede only what is absolutely necessary as a matter of indisputable constitutional law and (2) stand firm in solid, united opposition until the enemy dissipates of its own futility. If the rules of engagement allow and you foresee nearly certain victory without compromising your defenses, then you can (3) make cautious forays and advances.

Removal of Columbus day requires a change to federal statute; the Constitution does not require it, and even the Supreme Court observes the holiday. Therefore, any congressperson who pursues, proposes, or expresses this idea violates principle (1) in the foregoing paragraph. One never should make unnecessary concessions to the violent.

When you have local official not only condoning, not only permitting but facilitating this level of mayhem and savagness we have entered a twilight-zone level of French Revolution insanity. We’ve seen things like this before but we’ve never seen it on such a coordinated, global scale. Strange days indeed.

for the most part, since the 3 deaths and 6? shootings, among other crimes, the marches have been noisy and roadblocking but no vandalism.

last night, some ‘clout-seeking’ (not my words) black folk went down to Portland to speechify, encourage violence and encourage some to come to Seattle and ‘shake it up’. Apparently some did come, as, during a daytime ‘ICE’ march, there were black blocs that started smashing stores on their way to the chop precinct where, in spite of fencing still in place, they managed to break half a dozen large windows and launch a firework into the lobby to start a fire.

A starbucks had windows broken, with customers inside and a fire was started in the middle of the floor; people live above the store. The AmazonGo store was also vandalized and so was the Walgreens. One arrest of someone who looted from Kia so there was probably damage there, too. Some idiot tried to steal a bicycle cop’s bike, which ended badly for the thief.

Normally there are streamers that cover their little marches so they can watch themselves later and giggle. Today, streamers were being yelled at by these black blocs, and several phones were grabbed and stolen or smashed. One person commented all the streams seemed to go down about the same time. The local news channel KION was attacked; one person was trying to put a jacket over the news camera as they screamed in their faces and pushed at them for them to leave. A new chant, “ I hear nothing I see nothing” and new messages to not stream started appearing on their little hashtag. A lot of abnormal behavior.

They say there are no leaders, but there are definitely instigators and directors on and off their twitter hashtag; all have delusions of fame. They even have lookouts posted on corners or watching traffic cams so they can prewarn the not-a-leaders what direction the cops are coming in from and how many. For some it’s a live action video game; others are just full mental jacket. And I do mean mental.

Great. I say the police should stand down and let the anarchists have the city. Give them what they want, and soon the local citizens will correct the problem either by force or at the ballot box.

```
Its Seattle, they will vote for any far left radical that applies - the people there these days live the cartoon Far Side. Riots are a plus.
You guys need to move away from hanging and all those implicit unpleasant concepts that go with it.
Instead get familiar with the concept of gibbets to replace the messy hangings.
Gitmo is a good place to house these animals who will cry for mommy. When they are finished burning the place to the ground and there is no more to burn will they be coming into “ARMED” neighborhoods surrounding?
It appears to me that the good citizens of the whole city of Seattle are zombies.
At least New York has some people who object to bad behavior, like those two wonderful women who kept trying to raise awareness. Where is ONE person in Seattle with some moxie?
Also that wonderful couple in Missouri...SMH
