Rep. Massie is right. It is time to reduce the number of US troops located in dangerous places where they don’t need to be.

Thomas Massie reminds me of Rand Paul. He has a very bright future.

Possibly a long term replacement for McConnell in the Senate.

But he would need grassroots support because special interests will never give him money.

Yes. And he can raise a lot of money from grassroots support if he keeps going the way he has.
Just look at Bernie. He raised far more money than anyone else on the Dem side before he dropped out, almost exclusively from small donors.

The US needs to do a real strategic rethink and reset. The WWII foreign policy structure is dying. NATO clearly hasn’t had a mission since 1991, so why are we still funding this entity when the Europeans won’t even spend 2% on their own defense. I think we pull out of NATO and sign defense pacts with Poland, the UK and Israel(we get a port of call in the Med). Do we need the middle east right now with us totally energy independent? Other than Israel what country is worth anything in the area? We can reach out and punish any camel jockey country with air power and special forces raids if they get to be an issue. And we can concentrate our attention on the true enemy of the USA in the 21st century, the Chicoms.
