Last week, the worst mayor in the history of the United States decided it was a good idea to use city funds to paint a “Black Lives Matter” mural on Fifth Avenue in front of Trump Tower. Bill de Blasio is too incompetent to do anything about the skyrocketing murder rate, and his administration is directly responsible for the 22,000 New Yorkers who have died so far from COVID-19 the Chinese virus, but at least he can troll the president of the United States while simultaneously begging for federal funds.
If the goal of de Blasio’s #woke photo op was to set New Yorkers against each other and escalate the hostility even further, he has succeeded beyond his wildest pinko commie dreams. Lee Brown, NY Post:

NYC no longer matters to the rest of America.
Anyone invested in NYC (with property, or a business) knows that defacing streets with this is akin to having a “Martin Luther King Blvd.” - it signals a no-go zone to most people.
Never mind the wealth leaving the city with refugees (as happened with Dinkins decades ago); what is left is rapidly losing value.

I live a dozen miles west of NYC and haven’t been there in years; every 4th of July I remember the good old days when as kids we’d rice the PATH over to buy fireworks...
Decades later, I still can’t imagine another reason to visit there.

Mayor’s Incompetence Matters
Now I guess they’ll have to guard the graffiti 24/7, thus increasing the NYPD costs just when they slashed the budget.
As Dan Bongino said, if DeBlabbio were intentionally destroying the city, would he do anything differently? But I would argue it’s a moot point, he clearly IS bent on destroying the city.
i wonder if any of these idiots realize that by doing that paint mess on the road there’s no reason the same space can’t be sold for advertising.
So it follows that if the city has enough money to have this done then they don’t need any of ours.
