Thanks for the info, owen!
Ping to link to excess deaths counting site.
Oh, that was the Cuomovirus. The chicom bioweapon was deliberately sent into nursing homes to murder the elderly.... by the "Hitler on the Hudson".
Thanks for the link.
Click on “Dashboard” to see the CDC’s interactive charts on excess (more than typical) deaths. It’s great that one can select any state for examination.
Caution, the graph goes back to January 1st 2017. So this year is collapsed on the right side of the graph, making it a somewhat harder to see what is going on.
I won’t put any weight on predicted deaths with Covid-19 until I understand it. But I do understand “actual deaths.”
Selecting “weekly deaths by age group” and “Update Dashboard” gives a view that is easier to take in, as the time scale is now 0 to 26 weeks. For older people, it shows a clear spike and decline, to values that are now below normal.
This is a good tool. I hope the underlying data is good too!
DeSantis is no more i charge of his party than Trump’s is.
I was willing to sign onto the Cuomo error putting infected into nursing homes, but . . . dammit, it’s more than NYC or NY state. Mass hit hard, too. PA and Maryland smacked around some, too. My theory is Italian folks visited the home country and brought it back. Chinese New Year tradition is a vacation in Italy. They brought it to Italy and the strain changed there from the Wuhan strain.
Regardless, lots of Excess Deaths.
Yeah, this is the way to do the measurements. Cases mean nothing, hospitalizations are administrators finding a way to bill the stimulus package and make up for discretionary surgeries not performed.
But Excess Deaths are hard to deny. That’s real info.
Texas got my attention. Hey never had an early spike and then lockdown based decline. But they have been floating along above normal, accumulating Excess old people Deaths.
Contrasted with Nebraska and Tennessee, where they have negative Excess Deaths.
We’re going to know much more in about 2 weeks.
Downloaded the database into a sqlite and the numbers are smoother but they do trend upward based on what they are calling the eventdate as opposed to the chartdate.
last of results where died = yes

Yep, Texas numbers too!
Mostly in RAT states, so they can lower their "overhead" by killing off the dependent old people, and cash in on the covidbucks for every CV "death".
(They're RATs.....of course they're cooking the books)
