Sports leagues and players have turned racial justice issues into a “circus” by focusing more on who’s kneeling or what message is written on players’ jerseys rather than real change, basketball Hall of Famer Charles Barkley said Friday.
“I think we’re missing the point,” the former 76ers, Suns and Rockets star told CNBC. “We need police reform, we need prison reform. ... My concern is turning this into a circus instead of trying to do some good stuff.”
The media contributes to the "circus" by focusing on kneeling and messages on buses and jerseys, he added.

They are focusing on what message is on their jersey and not how can I win the game. And they are destroying their own market doing so.
I think Barkley is on the right track, but misses one point....it was designed to be an absolute woke-circus. It can’t deliver anything other than fake wokeness in the end.

As for me, Kaepernick , and now Bubba have freed up my Sunday afternoons. Never watched the NBA anyway.

Look at NASCAR, tearing down whole sectioms of grandstands to compress the fans so that it doesn’t appears that stand are empty. Won’t be long before the NFL is playing at highschool stadiums.
I will not watch any woke sports. I already gave up on the NFL, but now I must give up on my beloved MLB.
And trotting slowly up and down the court in a herd, taking three point shots, and barely showing any life or even interest in playing the game. The NBA is about as exciting as a soccer match any more.
No, Mr. Barkley, it’s not police OR prison reform that’s needed.
It’s cultural reform that’s required.
This has nothing to do with color. And everything to do with culture.
