Virginia “Ginni” Thomas, the prominent conservative activist married to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, recently denounced a DC-area Black Lives Matter banner.
Black Lives Matter is a “Trojan Horse” for “mob rule” and “cultural revolution,” Thomas wrote in a June 24 email to Clifton, Virginia, officials, the Washington Post reports.
Thomas, who is white but whose husband is the only black Supreme Court justice, is influential in her own right in DC and in White House meetings and has pushed President Trump to pick more conservative aides.
Thomas objected to a banner that reads “Welcome to Clifton where Black Lives Matter,” which was installed after the killing of George Floyd by Minnesota police. Unrest following Floyd’s death included arson and widespread looting near the White House.
“BLM is a bit of a dangerous Trojan Horse and they are catching well-meaning people into dangerous posturing that can invite mob rule and property looting,” Ginni Thomas wrote in her email.
“Let’s not be tricked into joining cause with radical extremists seeking to foment a cultural revolution because they hate America.”
Clifton is a small town that’s about a 45-minute drive southwest from Washington. The town’s mayor, independent William Hollaway, told the Washington Post his decision to hang the banner was “the biggest controversy we’ve seen in many years.”

They are RV enthusiasts and I suspect after yesterday’s final release of opinions for the term they are already on the road. I hope they have a wonderful summer.
When I lived in Savannah I was a member of the local bar association there and Clarence Thomas came to speak. At the last minute I had to be in Macon for a something and could not attend, but my wife was there and she told me about Thomas’s emotional remarks, mainly of gratitude for his grandparents who raised him in nearby Pinpoint, GA, and for those who had helped him in obtaining guardianship over a nephew, who Justice Thomas and his wife raised. He is a remarkably humble and decent man. I appreciate his service on the Court and I wish him the very best.
Clifton VA is a wonderful place to stay for a visit. Not far from the Trump Winery.
Conservative need to start having protests with “BLM supports TRUMP” signs. PLAY THE GAME. Put BLM on everything that is PRO-Conservative, Republican, and Trump.
BLM doesn’t need to mean BLACK LIVES MATTER! You could really mean BLUE LIVES MATTER! Never say what it means. NEVER spell it out! Make it a game.
It will make LIBERAL Heads explode.

A friend told me he passed a school recently and a huge sign was on the exterior:
BLACK LIVES MATTER
BLACK STUDENTS MATTER
BLACK EDUCATORS MATTER.
To his knowledge, it wasn’t a mostly black school. How is this allowed at a school (pre-high school)? It is teaching separation and hatred.
