New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said Thursday that he is banning all large gatherings in the city in a bid to stop the spread of coronavirus, but gave exception to Black Lives Matters protests insisting the ‘historic’ demonstrations must be respected. Speaking to CNN’s Wolf Blitzer Thursday night, de Blasio said the demonstrators’ calls for social justice and racial equality were too important to silence, considering more than a month of protests had not caused a spike in COVID-19 cases. While protests will be permitted to take place without push-back, de Blasio said that all other large events would be cancelled in the city through September.

One of the reasons the governor of PA issued a mandatory facemask order last week was that he knows damn well he can’t shut businesses down again even if everyone in PA is infected with COVID-19, and he’s going to lose a lot of court battles over his prior shutdown orders. And he’s going to lose those court battles because the photos and video clips of him demonstrating with crowds at “Black Lives Matter” protests will he entered as evidence by every person and business who fights these orders in court.
It started in late June when the state health department tried to get a court order to shut down the Carlisle Auto Show. The judge basically laughed the state lawyers out of her courtroom ... and asked how they could possibly argue that large crowds are a “health risk” when THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE was out parading around in large crowds with no face covering and no “social distancing.”
