Catch Trump haters Napolitano and Stirreald basking in glee thathis decision hurts the President. This decision will not dampen Trump supporters.

Question for all you legal eagles- the case goes back to the lower courts. After arguments the lower court sides with Vance/NY and rules against the President. Is team Trump then allowed to appeal to the Supreme Court- again??

This was about ABSOLUTE IMMUNITY. The SCOTUS was NEVER going to agree the office of President was “Above the Law”.
This is all about DELAY and TRUMP tying things up in the courts.

No legal eagle but Trump can always appeal. As to whether the Court would take it up would depend on whether there's a new legal controversy SCOTUS hasn't considered.

So in essence this is a slight win for prosecutors but not for Congress. However like any legal battle a prosecutor can’t just up and ask for anyone’s records for no reason (Gee...I just want to see); if there’s no legitimate criminal investigation the Trump lawyers can argue in the courts for months and years against such release
I was a 1L when Clinton v. Jones was running, and one of the class assignments was to brief the case. I got a pretty deep dive into the general subject back then, and you are right, no way is absolute anything going to fly.
Nice to see Team Trump using the system to advantage.
