What happens if COVID death rates plummet to the point of no longer being a pandemic threat? The media will turn it on Trump.>
Legacy media became predictably hysterical after President Donald Trumps speech Friday defending American exceptionalism at one of the nations most iconic monuments, Mount Rushmore.
We will state the truth in full, without apology: We declare that the United States of America is the most just and exceptional nation ever to exist on Earth, Trump proclaimed from the South Dakota Black Hills. We are proud of the face that our country was founded on Judeo-Christian principles, and we understand that these values have dramatically advanced the cause of peace and justice throughout the world.
The media translation of this could come straight out of an article from the satire website Babylon Bee. Trump says America is good, media leaps to Orange Man Bad.
President Trump delivered a dark and divisive speech at Mount Rushmore, leaning into the culture wars and barely mentioning the pandemic, blasted The New York Times just moments following the Independence Day address.

The last 10 words of the headline are unnecessary.
What’s with the recent phenomenon in “conservative” media of describing as “about to” or “becoming” or “to come” things that have been going on for years?
Preview? The media have been lying like that at least since JFK. The difference is that so many more people are aware of it these days.
Any time Trump holds a rally the media is a) not going to cover it live, and b) put their spin on it afterwards. Shouldn’t be a surprise by now.
I think our cause is lost, so long as leftwads are allowed to work in the media.

snip--The medias obsession with destroying Trump is also destroying the country. As of this writing, COVID-19 death rates are still plummeting, and they could continue to decline into no longer being an epidemic threat. The media will not report that, however, which could save countless lives by lifting lockdowns. Instead, media types with a severe animus towards Trump will charge the president with manipulating the Centers for Disease Control to declare an end to the pandemic for the sake of re-election. -- snip
President Trump made a wonderful speech at Rushmore.
Which might explain the huge drop in polls for Trump. The media is all in for Biden and the Democrats.
“The medias obsession with destroying Trump is also destroying the country. As of this writing, COVID-19 death rates are still plummeting, and they could continue to decline into no longer being an epidemic threat.”

Which goes to show.. on a dumbed-down, emotional populace that lacks critical thinking ability - like much of America's - propaganda is extremely effective.
I’m betting that most of the columns condemning Trump’s speech at Mt Rushmore were written either a day or two before the speech or were written without ever having listened to it. They had their marching orders, “the speech was dark and divisive” and they just followed the orders of the Media Moguls who rule over them, and the democrat party. After all, they have to egg on the rioters, looters, vandals, and arsonists who are the base of the democrat party.
Indeed, and critical thinking has been replaced by emotionalism. All that matters is how you “feel” about something. Like ‘Trump makes me feel scared’.
You trust those polls? If the Democrats’ internals weren’t telling them something else, why would they be reaching for every Hail Mary they can think of? They don’t look very confident to me, more desperation.
