Trump says ‘we are in a culture war,’ Republicans need to ‘toughen up’
Fox News ^ | July 08 2020 | Ronn Blitzer

President Trump warned his fellow Republicans to "toughen up" and stand firm against left-wing causes or they may find themselves on the losing end this November.

In an interview with RealClear Politics published Wednesday, the president expounded upon some of the ideas he put forth in his polarizing Mount Rushmore speech on July 3. During that address, Trump rejected what he called “a new far-left fascism” and a “left-wing cultural revolution” that he said threatened American civilization.

“We are in a culture war,” Trump told RealClear Politics. “If the Republicans don't toughen up and get smart and get strong and protect our heritage and protect our country, I think they're going to have a very tough election.”

That’s rather obvious.. I think it’s gone beyond culture and is now more fundamental, to the structure of civilization itself. Our side lost the culture aspect long ago. Now we are fighting for our survival.

Yes, they “need to”... won’t. They are gutless, ball-less, pansies more interested in retaining their political positions, than using their power to improve the country for everyone. POS Rinos would rather sit on top of a smoldering, Marxist-led decline than raise a single pinky to reverse this insanity.

“ The Repukes will NEVER toughen up.”

Republicans CAN’T toughen up, it would mean changing the fundamental nature of what they are. They are now and have always been in it for the easy payola. That’s who they are fundamentally.

Instead, they need to be taken out as collateral damage when the people rise up to destroy the leftists. I’m sure, in an aftermath, rebranded Republicans will return, slink back in, snake oil salesmen always do.

F**k Ronn Blitzer .

I saw the whole Mount Rushmore speech by president Trump. There was no divisiveness. He told the truth and communicated his vision of patriotism and unity for all.

That’s not divisive.Its unifying.

President Trump’s Mt. Rushmore speech was so effective, the left and their undercover agents like Blitzer have been spinning the speech down and attacking President Trump outright.VERY EFFECTIVE SPEECH

BLITZER LIES ...LIES....LIES

Shame on Fox for putting this out at all.

See the speech for yourself right here:

Who gets to decide that it was a polarizing speech? I thought it was one of the best I ever heard and perfect for our time.

Unfortunately we did not replace the Bush League Republicans with Trump Republicans.

Bush League Republicans have spent their careers advancing the same goal as the Democrats, flooding the country with foreigners to outvote the citizens.

“...polarizing speech?” Only by those who either didn’t actually listen or read a transcript of the speech!

It (the speech itself) was a call to national unity but then you wouldn’t know anything about that, would you Paul Ryan Fox News?

The liberals decided it was polarizing. The media decided it was polarizing.

Imbeciles such as Senator Tammy Baldwin said Trump praised “dead traitors” in that speech. Her reaction to a speech that praised the founding fathers, the greatness of America, and American heroes, is that he was praising dead traitors. What a (fill in the blank) she is.

“We are in a culture war,”

We've been in one for decades, go back and listen to Pat Buchanan's floor speech at the early 1990's GOP convention, classic. https://voicesofdemocracy.umd.edu/buchanan-culture-war-speech-speech-text/

let’s face it, the “republicans” in congress have spines less substantive than jello. Their natural instinct is to run, hide, cower, cringe, and beg.

Professional Republican politicians are in it for the money, not to get their hands dirty. The majority of them would just as soon be a Democrat if their circumstances, such as being popular and living within a Democrat district, would have shown their best chance of winning was as a Democrat.

(I give you former “conservative” Republican Congressman Joe “Morning Joe” Scarborough, who now makes his money spewing leftist drivel on MSNBC)

I am so past believing the majority of them get anywhere near as exercised over left-right issues as the vast majority of folks here on FR.

Just vote as you are directed, and pick up your courtesy bag of money complements, Tom Donahue, China, I mean US Chamber of Commerce.

Reagan couldn’t change the GOP. Nor will Trump. Trying to infuse principles, convictions and courage into a soulless party is futile.

Years from now the GOP will still be the same old empty party. If Trump wins the election he should focus on establishing the foundations of a new party that actually stands for something. The GOP will never be that party.

Here in the red state of Oklahoma, inhofe and lankford are typical swamp dwelling pukes who have been hiding under their desks during the chaos. Lankford went so far as to want to eliminate Columbus Day for that stupid juneish holiday.

Then his constituents rained on him and he retracted it. Creeps.

I could never take seriously the opinion of any woman named “Tammy”.

That said, PDJT gave a magnificent speech, maybe his best so far. His latest remarks go even further in reminding us that this IS a culture war.

But just watch: Pat Buchanan used that term in 1992 and the media sought to have him guillotined. They’ll dredge it up again, that “culture war” is a dog whistle for all us “racists”.
