July 7 (Reuters) - Walt Disney Co will stick to its plans to reopen its Walt Disney World theme parks in Orlando, Florida, to a limited number of guests on Saturday, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
Florida's coronavirus cases have soared in the last month, with the state's daily count topping 10,000 three times in the last week. The death rate from COVID-19 rose nearly 19% in the last week from the week prior, bringing the state's death toll to more than 3,800.
Some workers have signed a petition asking Disney to delay Walt Disney World's reopening. The resort, home to the world's most-visited theme parks, was closed to guests in March.
In a statement on Tuesday, Disney's Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Pamela Hymel, said new requirements from temperature checks, to face coverings and extra sanitation would enable guests to enjoy Disney World "responsibly."

of course 50% of those cases have occurred in Miami/Broward/Palm counties- the areas where most of the riots and protests took place... Orange County?? They’re responsible for 7.5% of the states cases and 1.5% of the states deaths...
But lets not bring facts into the argument...
I think working Americans really just need to take a s--t for the remainder of the year and wait until what happens after the election. Because this country is a powder-keg ready to explode.

The RNC is going to have testing on site to get into the convention. I have been hearing rumors of fast covid-19 test results.
If this tech is real, I image Walt Disney could run test before someone enters the property.
I have no desire to go the Disney..even as a kid...but i think it was stupid they closed down in the first place.

That’s just one of the reasons why people shouldn’t go to DisneyWorld anymore. I’ve already cancelled my Disney Plus streaming service. I just bought it to watch all the Marvel movies anyway.
