I can remember many an evening, chillin and listening to the Charlie Daniels Band and Marshall Tucker.
Everyone knows “Devil Went Down to Georgia,” but his “In America” was a great patriotic anthem just as Reagan was starting to part the gloom of the post-Vietnam era.
Sad news! I’m not partial to country music, but Charlie Daniels is one of the few I’ve enjoyed listening to.
A tip of the hat to a fine musician and an even finer man.
He is receiving his reward.

Charlie Daniels was one of the first to call out Obama on his stupidity and anti-Americanism. He definitely did his part and then some.
