I think Cosmo Kramer has all the change in his pockets for baking a shirt!

[As a result, the Giant supermarkets chain is the newest member of a growing list of retailers limiting cash transactions and/or demanding exact change.

“Due to the national coin shortage, select Giant registers can only accept credit, debit, and electronic payments at this time,” company spokesman Christopher Brand said in response to PennLive questions about coin shortages on Friday. ]

I can testify that a large semi-national convenience store chain in my area (I will not name them publicly or privately at this time), is also advertising they are out of change and are offering to buy any loose change you have (I assume in whole dollar amounts). This has been going for weeks.

The MoTB has not come yet. But it will, in the future. A future that seems not too far off. However, (for the thread lurkers) the MoTB does not occur until 1/2 way through the 7-year tribulation. I do not believe that time period has started, yet.

(FWIW, the woman getting her fingerprint scanned to pay for food, looks like flour and yeast, is from Venezuela, years ago - FYI for the thread lurkers)

[Conditioning us to accept the end of cash.]

Yes. That effort is ongoing. How about a nice bracelet to pay for your purchases?

Well, I have a jar of coins at home, where I deposit loose change.

Every so often I wrap them in rolls, and take them to the bank and deposit in my account.

The last time I did this, I had about $30 worth of coins.

I seldom have many coins in my pocket, so when going places and spending cash, I almost always use currency, and then get change back, which accumulates at home.

....................................................

I have too many grand children to do that. Last year I bought 7 personalized Piggy Banks (Names on them) and gave them to my 7 youngest.

I notice they rarely blow off the two cents when a sale is $20.02 and I don’t have the 0.02.

Good one!

Although I believe that there is a corollary to Murphy’s Law that says that if the sale is $50.37, the amount of change you will have scraped off the dresser and put in your pocket will have been exactly thirty six cents.

So, change for a twenty it is (or I guess they can hire me for a penny plus benefits). :-)

Well I did My part. Had a Billing dispute with the Town Water Department. I had been in the Hospital for 2 months from Emergency Bowel Surgery and multiple complications. Then another month of rehab before I got back Home. I took them $368.37 Worth of Pennies on a hand truck. Got my Receipt and Hand Truck and left them with their Pennies. I should have busted open the rolls...

No need for an implant: you are already genetically imprinted at birth. Hand or forehead will do.

I’ve purchased firearms, air tank, entry fees and a large chunk of land for gold and/or silver.

Also, it’s not a logical conclusion that inflation eats away at the value of gold when the majority of the time period in the example it was either illegal to own or manipulated purposely down in price.

You’re right about that! Seems the youngsters aren’t being taught anything in schools about how to sustain the Republic, but rather how to become Communists.

I’ve been operating on cash, and checks for utilities, etc., for 50 years. CC or DC is used only for large purchases (TV, refrig, heat pump, etc.) and I pay them off within 3 months.

I see no reason to document for Big Brother where or what I buy using other than cash.

Using cash in the pocket also keeps me from overspending on impulse purchases. ...Works for me
