WAGON WHEEL – Bryce Provance scratches combat formations into the dry earth as four others – camouflaged in bulletproof helmets and vests – watch intently.
Each man holds a high-powered rifle tight to his body with a pistol and several magazines often ready on his hip.
You would never guess it by looking at them, but they’re thousands of miles from the nearest battlefield.
These are members of the New Mexico Civil Guard, the group that made international headlines for its heavily armed presence at an Albuquerque protest that culminated in a shooting last month.
“The world is a scary place and, it seems like, if you don’t have friends with weapons – you better find some,” Provance, ... founder, told the Journal. “So we decided we want to protect our communities, we want to be an auxiliary force.”
He later added, “We go out and train, we learn cool stuff, then we barbecue on Fridays.”
It was their first get-together since the June 15 incident, when tensions rose between the Civil Guard and protesters who were trying to topple the statue of Juan de Oñate near Old Town before Steven Baca – a counter protester – shot and critically injured Scott Williams after a scuffle.
Since then, authorities have condemned the group’s actions even though the guard says it was not there to instigate and had “no clue” who Baca was.
Frank Fisher, an FBI spokesman, said the agency doesn’t designate hate groups and will “not confirm or deny” whether the agency is investigating the group.
Kia Russ, an organizer with Black Lives Matter, considers NMCG a hate group.
Russ said the group – with its guns, armor and posturing – is a prime example of “white male fragility” emboldened by the likes of President Donald Trump.

Local BLM organizer considers these guys a hate group. Why? Because these guys don’t hate America and our Constitution. These guys hate BLM and love our country. They’re well-armed and training to defend themselves and their community. Therefore, they are a threat to the BLM Marxists.

Black lives matter is calling another group a hate group? That’s hysterical. And why exactly do black lives matter? Or White lives? How can one make such a general statement? Did idi Amin’s life matter? Did Hitler’s? Stalin’s? Child molesters?
If by saying that they mean all black lives matter because they can affect the world in a good or bad way then I agree. But that is not what they are suggesting.
And they are wrong in their thinking.

I went to a BLM rally yesterday here in our small town. There were maybe 30 protesters in a place cordoned for their protection. Surrounding them on three sides were maybe 300 locals packing heat of all calibers and lengths.
The locals set up a canopy and a table, and were signing people up for a citizen militia. They got a ton of names.
If this is happening across the country, it’s going to become a challenge for rioters to leave the dense urban zones.

I think it’s time for Trump team to put a list of the ongoing violence against innocent citizens. He needs to call a press conference and call out Biden, Schumer and Pelosi to call off their mob, condemn the violence and stop turning our country into a war zone.

I hope they realize that they’ll have to go not just against the leftist scum, but against what used to be called the “law and order” people. That’s the real challenge.
