As Booker T Washington said 100+ years ago,Colon has recently discovered that hating America can be a very lucrative career choice.

If America is so horrible, why don't they go back to Africa?

My guess is Nike is mostly foreign owned. That’s easily possible these days via Board of Directors.
Either foreign owned, or held by those in intellectual ghettos of Silicon Valley type hamlets and One View fishbowls.

Maybe Colin doesn’t want to actually be on a team anymore.
He may be getting his personal needs met just being an icon of the resistance, not that he understands what that really implies. This is the man who held a press conference about
oppression while wearing a Fidel Castro T-Shirt.
Style may reign over substance, once again.

I wonder if Kaep will protest Nike’s policies toward it’s labor force? THAT would be ‘brave’.

I’m not sure, other than he was adopted by a white couple and from what I’ve seen brought up in a very stable loving home. Based on what I know, which admittedly is not much, I feel for them.

If I were Jerry Jones, owner of the most valuable sports franchise in the world by some reports, I would have sold the Cowboys LAST YEAR. Anybody who can’t see the crackup coming to professional sports is willfully blind.

I wonder if Kaepernick will speak out in support of Nike’s policy of using forced laborers from the Uighurs in China to make their shoes.

*** Maybe Colin doesn’t want to actually be on a team anymore. ***

That’s not ‘a maybe’. His playing days are over. Running QB’s seldom develop much beyond their original skill set on entering the league. Look at Cam Newton and CP3. Lit things up for 1/2 a season (CP3) to a few years (Newton) got injured and suddenly they are sub-par QB’s who are barely credible as backups. Newton may get a revival in New England... we’ll see. So 5 - 7 years is about it. Kaep had his career. He’s been out of the League for 3 years. Does anybody seriously think that Brees, Manning or Brady could sit rusting for 3 years and come back as a starter? Fans might, but pro scouts and trainers would say ‘no’. And that is Kaepernick’s dilemma. He’s done. He knows it. But he’s trying to keep active in the fan’s minds so that he can continue to extort money from Nike and the NFL owners.

Perhaps Saucony will make a big comeback and move it’s manufacturing back to the USA! It was, at one time, a great shoe.
