“My cat hates The 4th of July”

We have five, and they were a little antsy last night but get better every year. Usually they run and hide under the bed. Guess they feel safe and protected with us — after nine years.

In our area of E TN, fireworks boomed for about four hours. Wonderful to hear!!

Won't it be wonderful if California goes for Trump in the November Presidential election!

All decent people have had enough of this insanity!

And note tagline!

Since surgery on 6/9, one of my cats has taken it upon herself to be my “nurse”. I sleep in a separate bed so I don’t disturb DH until I recover.

Maris Crane follows me to bed, and sits by my pillow until I get situated (it takes a while). As I’m settling in, she lies perpendicular to me, with her head on my arm, purring in my ear. Then when she senses I’m about to drop off she wanders down to the bottom corner of the bed to sleep.

Each time I get up in the night, she’ll walk up and wait by my pillow until I get back, and do the whole thing over again.

If another cat tries to jump on the bed, she chases them off, almost telling them it’s HER “job”.

I grew up on Long Island.

When I was a kid, fireworks were legal. People set them off all day and night, starting in the morning on the 4th.

I don’t remember them being sold....maybe they were and I just didn’t notice.

My father had bought some at “South of the Border” on the state border of North Carolina and South Carolina, on the way back from a Florida vacation.

“South of the Border” was built like a Mexican town. The amount of fireworks they sold was enormous. Some college kids paid for their tuition by selling fireworks.

All kinds of odd stuff and novelties were sold there, too. Including fake (plastic) vomit.

It isn’t a revolt until they re-vote and remove the demonrats they’ve elected.

The political left is fine with some lawlessness as long as they get their cut.

We went to Pacifica to set off our few little safe and sane legal fireworks and were BLOWN AWAY by the incredible “undocumented fireworks shows” there. I was in awe!!! What a fantastic display of patriotism from all around us! Way to go California.

To be fair, cats hate pretty much everything except food, water, a clean litter box, and staff members who will pet them at will.

My cat Zizu was pretty chill the whole day and evening, thank goodness. Some idiots were firing mortar fireworks VERY close to my apartment--so close, the windows were vibrating and I was really afraid they'd break. This did not stop at the traditional midnight--these obnoxious pieces of trash were putting these off until 2:30 a.m., and even some at 4 a.m. Where was Clint Eastwood, a la "Gran Torino", with his rifle, darn it?

But they will STILL VOTE DEM in the next election and for the foreseeable future.””

IF only mail in voting is done, most people won’t know WHO they voted for-—their vote will be high jacked.

The first set to go off was from a neighbor’s parking lot, literally, for guests and their older vehicles. One of their sons is a hard working young man of 40 something and his BILs. They have been doing this since they were teens.

Then our entire valley started as it got officially sundown.

At first my wife and I were upset with the potential fire danger, then I realized that a lot was an in your face Governor Gruesome.

At about 10 pm in a normal year, there are 3 official heavy duty professional fireworks going off at the end of their aerial fireworks. Last night, almost on clue the heavy duty civilian/non pro bang/bangs went off for about 20 minutes at the same time the pros lit their stuff each year before.

We heard a nonstop series of fireworks from before sunset until the wee hours of the morning here in O.C.

The dog was not pleased.

Yes I interpreted it as an in your face as well. Perhaps I project. But I was so pleasantly surprised.

Take away the fireworks shows and people do their own. Supposedly the big shows make us safer. Well they took them away. They can go pound sand.

I’ve got four cats I rescued as kittens. We live next to a railroad crossing used frequently, do my three boys and one little girl kitty are used to racket. I realize cats are not supposed to be manly, but I do have a dog also. Btw, my kitties are content, if not happy. After all, cats were infused with the spirit of royalty by the Creator. He gave dogs the spirit of a servant.

Well considering that Texas is now the number one venue for illegals and the democrat cancer has been metastasizing around it’s universities for many years I don’t think they need to worry about anyone from California.

I live in California and I am one of those who launch off the illegal fireworks every year and I am not Mexican. In fact, many Californians of all colors buy illegal fireworks, both the safe and sane type and the mortars. This year was definitely different as it seemed everyone around me had mortars and the firing of them starting at 6pm and continued until midnight. Many of my neighbors were sitting out in their driveways watching fireworks exploding in the night sky and we only saw the local sheriff’s helicopter once in the distance. A police cruiser also drove slowly by, but didn’t stop even though they clearly witnessed illegal firework use going on everywhere. In prior years the police generally tolerate violators and only fine when an accident occurs, which thankfully is rare, and this year was no exception.

As far as masks go, hardly anyone is wearing one around SoCal. I mostly see elderly people walking around in masks while pretty much everyone else is uncovered. In fact the only places I see everyone wearing a mask in inside grocery stores or places where they have posted a mask wearing requirement. Social distancing here is pretty much ignored except in businesses and parties and other social gathering are definitely smaller. False media narrative is definitely doing some real social harm here since the majority of Californians are moderates and only get their news from Facebook or cable TV; God help them!

Californians are still rebellious and not the total sheeple that the rest of the union makes us out to be. The issue in California is that there are definitely too many liberal idiots in the big cities and the Democrats have institutionalized voter fraud which is how they magically defeated 7 Republican seats in Orange County. I guarantee that those seats would still be Republican if we had free and fair elections in “Commifornia”. Beware vote by mail and ballot harvesting because it’s coming to a city near you very soon. Everyone needs to get educated on this practice and needs to put pressure on city, county, and state governments to make it illegal. If you don’t, then revolution will be the end result. If only we could reach the moderates among us and get them to understand this!

We actually WON BACK the seat from that LIB that was ousted because of her sex acts with her female intern!! That district had been in republican hands for decades but due to VOTE HARVESTING we lost it!! I have been FURIOUS with the RNC and Mittens niece for not vote harvesting on our side since it is NOW LEGAL in CA.!! The insanity in CA. is never ending with ALL DEM RULE!! I think we may get back these lost seats in Orange County and San Diego this election cycle!! Mittens niece has to get off her ass and get the house back!!!
