Gov. Tom Wolf and Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine Wolf tightens Pa. mask-wearing order, saying they are now required outdoors, effective immediately now mandating that Pennsylvanians wear masks whenever they leave their home, effective immediately.
This order comes during an upturn in positive COVID-19 cases statewide, including in the Harrisburg region, where Dauphin County is registering the second-highest rate of new cases in the state. The order has been received by mixed opinions.
Hypocrisy, thy name is Tom Wolf. You mean like how you didnt wear a mask when you marched arm in arm with protestors (and didnt social distance)? Guess the executive order (which is NOT A LAW) doesnt apply to you? Pennsylvanians do not have to comply. Russ Crane (@RussCraneMBA) July 1, 2020
This new directive, as like just about everything that has accompanied his coronavirus-related decisions since March, drew a mix of opinions.
Some believe the order is the product of a focus of effort in the wrong area. State Rep. Dawn Keefer, R-York County, told PennLive she thinks Wolf should be issuing resources toward people and small businesses struggling financially due to the states shutdown order rather than focusing on enforcing the masks.
I just think its an overreach, Keefer said. I think this is more of a power trip than it is anything else. About keeping your thumb on healthy Pennsylvanians instead of prioritizing where the needs are, where the impacts are.
@GovernorTomWolf hey buddy thanks for the mask update but lets get down too it business are closing and there are no jobs lets stop tip toeing around the real problem #NoLeadership Stow (@stow_man) July 2, 2020
State Rep. Daryl Metcalfe described the order as being unconstitutional, even encouraging people to disobey it in a Facebook post. He introduced a resolution to the House of Representatives on Wednesday that calls for lawmakers to impeach Wolf for his unconstitutional dictates and Orwellian overreach, Metcalfe said in a statement on his website.
Meanwhile, others supported the order, seeing it as a stronger approach by Wolf to further prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Tom Wolf @GovernorTomWolf just saved untold numbers of lives by making masks mandatory in public spaces.
An act of real leadership, which sadly we arent seeing in the federal level.
Too many people, including some medical personnel, have refused to *don* a mask here. https://t.co/8HQaUf5xfK Sarah Reese Jones (@PoliticusSarah) July 1, 2020
Good for you Governor. This should be required nationwide. Its really the only hope to get the virus under control without shutting everything down again. zzsab (@CarlSabo1) July 1, 2020
State Sen. Jay Costa took to Twitter to encourage people to wear masks in order to get back to normal.
Getting back to "normal" means that we have to get the spread of #COVID19 under control. Wearing a mask is the easiest way to do that. Protect yourself, protect others, wear a mask. pic.twitter.com/x7tFwBcPO3 Senator Jay Costa (@Senatorcosta) July 1, 2020
Thank you, Governor Wolf. I hope the mask naysayers understand that if they do not wear masks, our economy fails. The majority of Pennsylvanians appreciate everything you have done to keep us safe. Love Tom Wolf! #Teaching the Truth 🆘 #DemCast (@bloomin3pa) July 1, 2020

Anti-Science troglodytes
They’re scared spitless that POTUS might hold a rally in PA...LOL
RATS are cornered and pulling out all the stops.
Neither—it is Idiocy and political tyranny. If the poor fools cannot see this, they deserve this crap. ‘Nuff said.
..if it works, then Sleepy Joe will say "what they did in PA is what I'd do as President."
...And if it fails, well, who cares...it's only people who elected Trump anyway.
Care should be placed within quotation marks.

Nope.
In Wolf's book 4400+ of them were worthless eaters who needed to be culled.
COVID-19 made it easy.
Thanks, CCP. /s
The crap masks have become a religious fetish to the Left.
Anything to get full mail in voting.

Your civil disobedience protects my freedom.
This is what decades of letting corrupt and lazy party insiders decide which candidates are acceptable to elect gets you. Gov. Wolf should never have been elected, but former Gov. Corbett was a terrible campaigner who didn’t even try to win. Then Gov. Wolf should have then easily lost to Scott Wagner, but the PA GOP sat on its hands for him .. and they say on their hands for Lou Barletta, who should have routed Casey in the Senate race.
Now we have a tyrannical Health Secretary (I’m not interested in the questions about his/her mental health, I only care if s/he is competent in their position and Dr. Levine has once again failed) posting an immediate and unaccountable edict at the end of a business day at the beginning of a holiday weekend with no hard data to back it up. More businesses will fail because of this knucklehead because who wants to go on a rollercoaster in a facemask? Who wants to play in a pool in a facemask? Who is actually washing their facemasks Everytime they wear them? A reckoning will come, but it will also come for the PA GOP for allowing this to happen.
95% of people are intolerably stupid. It was okay when they at least mimicked the intelligent 5%, but now they just randomly blurt and lurch. We need to dig deep pits for them to wander into.
It's obvious that it's time to do something about the "new" Democrat party and its conglomeration of narcotized old hippies and their fully-indoctrinated and narcotized kids and grandkids.
NO sane American can approve of what's happening. Even those low-info people who normally vote Democrat because their parents, grandparents and great-grandparents voted Democrat have to be noticing they're supporting absolute insanity.
I cannot believe there isn't at least ONE old-line Democrat in the House or the Senate who won't speak up about how their party has been completely hijacked, to the point where it isn't an "American" party anymore. Not even close.

Too afraid to. They’d be shredded 6 ways to Sunday for it. Their families would be threatened...maybe even killed. The left has gone full retard...never go full retard. There’s no turning back and that’s where they are today...outright rabid communists.
Excellent summary of Pennsyltucky.
I’ve admitted it before, and I’ll admit it once again, I voted against Core-butthole because he had deliberately squashed the Sandusky investigation until he was safely in the Governor’s mansion...during which time unknown dozens of young men were scarred for life.
But that was NOT a vote FOR Wolf! Let there be no mistake!
I thought that Democrat governors Cuomo, Inslee, Murphy (NJ) and Northam (Va) were insane, but Wolf and his cross-dressing drag-queen of a Health Commissioner Levin are right up their in the looney bin.
More criminal government on display.

Dealing with it as best as I can on vacation.Have been to Poconos, York/Amish country, NW PA and now a weekend in Pittsburgh coming up.Perhaps Philly on way home.
Was to have done a you-drink-we-drive bus tour of breweries. Cancelled because Allegheny County banned beer drinking in restaurants. That will have to wait a year for me to try it again.
Mother to child exiting visitor center at
Kinzua Bridge State Park: “We’re outside now honey so you can pull down your mask.”
People like me got to enjoy that huge railroad bridge that extends over a valley.Masks off. Sunny day. We were all right.Oops now you gotta put it on outside? The sun kills the virus.
Going into restaurants etc yeah put it on as you enter, take off as you eat. They’re sanitizing tables and doing social distancing.Museums and parks reopening etc
but wait, now another mask regulation. My
Amish country bus tour was fine without a
mask.
Crying Wolf over this pandemic.
