Ten Georgia mayors have sent a letter to General Assembly asking them to repeal the state’s “stand your ground” law.
Under “stand your ground” laws, a person can say they acted in self-defense and had no duty to retreat during a confrontation with someone else. The letter was signed by the mayors of Atlanta, Savannah, Augusta, Athens-Clarke, Decatur, Norcross, Milledgeville, Waycross, Fairburn and Stockbridge.

These morons have short memories...a study was done back in the Tayvon days that showed blacks benefited more from stand your ground.

How many mayors are there in Georgia...a thousand? 10 out of 1000 should be a non news event.
I suspect one of the goals of all this is for blacks to be able to behave in any manner they wish with impunity and zero interference from police. I truely belive many blacks don’t think they should have to live under the law of the land because in their mind the country is racist and “was built on the backs of black slaves”. The common thread through many of these police shootings is failure of black suspects to comply with police directives, (especially if the cop(s) are white), refusing to comply then causes the situation to escalate until it becomes deadly.
I see the power Obama organized mayors for is again being seen in action.

F#ck “Stand Your Ground” I’m looking for the right to preemptively take offensive action. Why should I have to live in fear of attack on my family when I could take out the threat, and live in peace.

The black community really does have a serious problem with behavior, morals, and basic civility.
They can attack anybody for any reason without fear of retaliation if this evil proposal passes. Like the guy in Macy’s that was decked out.
It is almost adorable, if it wasn't so sad, that some people still believe a single word that Democrats utter. In this case, as in EVERY case, what they seek is more power, more chaos, and more dependence upon government to "fix the problems", even if the government creates the problems. They do not give one single rat's behind who is impacted how, among the citizenry. ALL that matters is that the end result will give them more control. If you're stupid enough to believe that they want what they say they want, so much the better.

Genetic research of the races is being researched more every day. Blacks show poor impulse control. There was a study on this posted online last year.

The old “Duty to flee” laws were a part of the Jim Crow laws to prevent blacks from fighting back then the boys in the sheets came calling.
That is why “Stand Your Ground” laws were passed.
