I retired from the Navy over 20 years ago. I can, with total confidence, say that racial and sexual affirmative action were in the highest of priorities in the military for at least the last 40 years. I have seen white males passed over for promotion in favor of minorities. I really don’t know what more they can do besides just making white males ineligible for promotion.

My read on this:

Trump must be thinking about firing him, and this is a defensive move threatening to define him as a racist if he does.

Why does trump hire these idiots

That is the $64 question. If the country ends up going down the tubes his incomprehensibly crappy personnel decisions will have played a major role.

Wait....does the Commander In Chief not have the last say so over these directives? This stupid stuff infuriates me! The military is not a place to experiment with politically correct motives.

Why?? Is it necessary?? The military is a great example of good work by a force of mixed races. He should be showing it off and taking pride in what they have.

Come on Esper, don’t walk around with your tail between you legs, crying “mea culpa.”

Military virtue signalling.

Trump as an outsider does not know the requirements of jobs and therefore can’t match available qualified people. He needs tips. He gets them from the wrong people like Turtle, Linda, and early on McCain sent him McMaster and the Generals. Don also picks some “beauties” on his own: Scaramucci, Amorosa, Bolton (against much advice), Jared, Rudy. The current Defense Secretary Hedge Fund manager Mnuchin is real bad. I don’t know who sent him. Possibly Putin? Kim Jong-Un? He disagrees radically with Trump in public and departs from Trump orthodoxy every time he turns around. Needs to walk the plank.

You know what the unvarnished un-P.C. word for that is? Ans: a White Flag

Trump was wiling to fire Bolton, apparently because he got prickly and snarly when Trump wouldn’t take his advice.

If resisters are more diplomatic about it he seems reluctant to fire them.

We need our own revolution. Why should the genocidal left be the only team on the field?

Sorry I got Mnuchin mixed up with Esper, another dweeb.

Trump has been ill served by the people who should work for his programs and be loyal, yes, to him personally and keep their f’g pie holes shut. It has always been thus.

You’re right but it takes leadership. Groups like the Lincoln Project (Kellyanne’s corpulent Filipino sperm donor, Bill Krystal, and assorted “neo-cons” who purport to stand for conservatism and the “true” Republican Party) seems to be the only show of Leadership. Congress is pathetic. Few exceptions: Cotton, Cruz, Rand in Senate and Freedom Caucus, Jim Jordan, Devon Nunes are about all we got.

They beclowned Rudy (another guy past his prime). Flynn is still not far enough out of jeopardy to come out swinging. Dinesh D’Sousa is straddling. Tucker is starting to attack Trump for not doing enough. Rush is explaining today how Turmp’s hands are tied. He cannot act in states or cities where Dem leaders would tell him we don’t need your help, “Get out!”.

We elected a president with all the right instincts, attitude and with ready solutions to problems (that the government DID NOT want solved)...and proceeded to sit him on an island by himself and said “go forth and conquer.” We needed a revolution and we elected a president. All by himself with nothing but venal opposition from every institution in the country and every corner of an endemically corrupt government.

And we expected this to work! To fix things! Eisenhower warned of this generations ago and it has done nothing but grow and infect every single corner of society since. There is nothing left to save by this point. I am all with “strengthen the things that remain” but nothing remains.

We need to be the ones burning it all down...so the Genocidal Leftists don’t do it over our dead bodies. If it’s us or them, I’d prefer it to be the other poor dumb slob dying for his country (apologies to Patton).
