Our last POTUS was black (at least half but you’d never know it), as far as I know never had a job and ended up in the Whitehouse for 8 years. And it still did nothing to appease a lot of people that say this is a racist country. Problem with a lot of these people is they’ve never even been outside this country to see how absolutely blessed and grateful THEY SHOULD BE to be here.
When this happens among Democrats, their establishment mumbles a bit, and then brings them onboard. When it happens among republicans you get folks like the Lincoln Project who demand the upstarts be kicked out of the treehouse, and urge everyone to vote Democratic. Guess who wins in the end?
