GIDDINGS, Texas (KXAN) — The Texas Rangers are now involved in an investigation in Giddings after multiple stabbings, which then led to an officer-involved shooting. The Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed four people were stabbed Monday morning, and the suspect was shot dead by a Giddings officer.
Local and state law enforcement officials had three different areas blocked off with crime scene tapes — one at a pest control business on U.S. Highway 77, one at a gas station up the street and a third location around the corner from the gas station on Independence Street. “Stuff like this has never, at least in my life time, has never happened,” said Edgar Cardona who works at a restaurant that’s located between the pest control business and the gas station.
“What I really thought about – because I usually get here and I walk over to the store to grab things in the morning, so I was like ‘man, that could’ve been me.’ So it was pretty scary stuff I think,” he said. Police have not said how the stabbings victims are doing. They also have not addressed whether the victims knew the suspect.
According to Giddings Police, the Texas Rangers will release information. The DPS told KXAN the investigation is ongoing.

I worked at their cattle auction for 2-3 years. Small town, quiet place, central Texas cattle country.
Best hamburger you’ll ever get is usually at the cattle auction cafe. Least known best place to eat in Texas...I never would have guessed, until I started working cattle auctions.
Monday, really small town outside Caldwell, named Milano. Tuesday Giddings. And so on. Wednesday I think was Navasota. Every one of them had a top notch cafe, never had a mediocre lunch. Usually just a burger, but I splurged once and had a steak, one of the best and at burger king prices..
Giddings was no exception, their cafe was top notch, and onion rings to write home about too...
Odd to see a thing like this, never would have expected it. As usual, I have to wonder if yet another muslim wacko got loose...

Since the Rangers are investigating, I would believe that either muslims or MS-13 was involved.
I seriously doubt it. Not in Giddings.

How far is Giddings from Austin?
If this shooting had been done anywhere other than Texas, the officer would have been fired on the spot and indicted for murder.
About 60 miles east of Austin...
