The oatmeal gives you the gift of the gab, and you want to fist fight...
Its likely to get worse.
But I bet every single one of the family members vote for democrats every single election, if they vote at all.
Reap what you sow.
JoMa
I’m glad this lady is speaking up.
I recall a few years ago when an old movie was banned because of the way black people were portrayed. But there was some stellar singing and dancing by some of the black actors and that is now lost forever. Those actors were earning an honest living using their talents and now that’s essentially lost forever lest someone be offended.
Erasing white history also erases black history because it’s all American History. Once you erase history a tiny minority in charge can rewrite it however they like.
One of this matters, all Black labels used and paid for by the company is racist and QOs just moved it along.
Now all those royalties that fed the chiiren in that family will have to come from Racist Uncle Sammy. Then the Blacks will get offended by this and BAM protests begin.
You cannot make these people happy.
Nah, you need a white faced Black woman
“Family members of women who portrayed Aunt Jemima are not happy about erasing the iconic marketing symbol now.”
Welcome to the club.
In software, when there are choices to be made, there often exist lists with items to generally allow or disallow. Like many developers, we used the once common terms whitelist and blacklist without even giving their meaning a thought. While the origin of the term blacklist seems to range back centuries and be unrelated to race, the black means bad, white means good metaphor is inappropriate and we apologise for having used it.
So last week, we went ahead and finally got rid of those racially connoted and non-self-explanatory terms and replaced them with more speaking terms like trust list and block list.
Changes will be available in the next release.

I’m writing all these names they are changing from, to: because I will not buy the new named crap. The only way to fight evil sometimes is to tell them to shove it up their face mask.
I don’t know why Blacks are ashamed of their slavery past.
They should want to preserve the statues of the various public figures that were also slave owners. They are reminders to whites of their shameful mistreatment of Blacks.
I dont know why Blacks are ashamed of their slavery past.
I dont think they are ashamed of it, they have been taught by race baiters to use it like a bludgeon against whitey. Instead, they should be proud of the strength and courage of their ancestors who were slaves.
In the nearly 20 years I have been on FR we have been noting corporate behaviour and doing our best to channel our money away from left wing ones. It is an impossible task to be 100% pure in our purchases and this latest spasm of wokeness makes it even more difficult. The republic isn’t going to stand or fall on whether you buy a bag of Lays. At best now we have some limited info and if you know something about product A and there is an alternative product B one at least has a choice. If product A is still the best for you for whatever reason get it and move on. I sleep fine still knowing a huge amount of my stuff is made in China.
“they have been taught by race baiters to use it like a bludgeon against whitey”
Yep. Your key phrase: “They have been taught”.
“They” is by no means all blacks. Perhaps only a small percentage.
What a shame, though, that they expect their salvation to be handed to them by the whites. Such a demotivator.
Uh, no. She was paid to do a job. Someone is just trying to cash in, thinking if they strike while the iron is hot they can get a big payout.
So Quaker Oats is getting rid of Aunt Jemima...
But theyre keeping Barbara Bush??
Thats racist!
Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben- two well regarded black folks who must be removed from food.
I do not see “Irish” anywhere on the McCann’s label.
It made me feel good when I looked at the list of products that Lays *plain” was the only one I had purchased on a more regular basis.
They probably should have just called this Irish Maple Syrup!
