And I understand that self preservation is number one and don’t want to do anything too stupid. Still we don’t want to be totally complacent thinking that just waiting is going to fix things. We lack organization and self motivation. What that means is things haven’t gotten miserable enough for us, yet.

I’m sorry to say today’s “Christians” are the most pathetic of the bunch and the first to cave and to get guilted.

Even so, if Russia and E. Europe are imperfect, they are our last hope for the Euro Continent.
The sheer demographics of Western Europe, projected into the future, tell us that Europe will be controlled by Islam. Europe is now a total lost cause, especially because of the dominant left-wing PC culture there that is totally oblivious to the fact that they have committed cultural suicide. Europe as we know it will no longer exist.
We should focus on our common ground with Putin and Eastern Euro countries because they will be our future allies against a Europe run by Islamic law.
Trump was making overtures to Putin in the early days, but the good work that could have been done in mending fences with Russia were thwarted by the Fake Russian Conspiracy. He had his hands tied, so he couldn’t appear chummy with Putin.
In his second term, let’s hope Trump makes peace with Russia and forms an alliance with the UK and Russia, exclusive of Europe, and withdraws troops from Germany. Let Germany defend themselves and pay for their defense. Their real enemy is now from within. Ditto for France.
Hungary is doing their part.

If you are speaking about the Political Left, I completely agree.
But, American Conservatives do not impress me that way.
Personally, I have never been religious, but politically I have always been a Conservative.
At the most basic level, I think Conservatives believe in meritocracy and the creation of wealth, for personal benefit, and for the common good.

I happen to agree with your idea here.
But this isn't Western Civilization; nobody's going to paint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel with this or compose a piece for an orchestra to play in its honor. One could hold to this principle while at the same time supporting abortion on demand and same-sex "marriage".
My point is that the "conservatives" in the United States placed the creation of wealth above the tangibles that kept the West together for two thousand years; this became the dominant "religion" of conservatism. Now the chickens have come home to roost.
