My old man was a builder. I’d come home late at night and he would be at the kitchen table working on his book keeping.
“Well - rather than tossing and turning in bed worrying about it - I figured I’d just get up and do it.”
I’m guessing part of it was to make sure I got in okay, but he never made it seem like that.
No doubt I got my work ethic from him and my mom. And with my wife - we have passed it on to our kids.
My son was getting paid through the PPP for being laid off. “Yeah - I’m back to work. They are paying me for not working, but that didn’t seem right. So I would just go down there each day and there was always something to do.”
After several weeks of that and the PPP ran out he was laid off.
That lasted about a week or two. The last I heard he has been working 10+ hours a day again. I told him “I was wondering how long they were going to last without you!”
He’s no dummy. He figured if he showed up to work even if he didn’t have to, he would be first in line to get called back. In fact, prior to the company laying people off, he and another person volunteered to get laid off first as they are both single and make some money at other odd jobs.

I started writing this piece by using the 39 minute youtube piece that George Webb had done on the topic of how the DNC is more than just a political party.I was finishing up early Sat. when I learned that youtube had taken down all 4,000 of Webb's videos.

Rich was shot twice by a small calibre hand gun thought to be a .22. The men could have been either FBI or MS 13. After he was shot Rich sat on the sidewalk and chatted with police officers until the ambulance came for him and took him to Med Star hospital.

One question that arises is: could they,bowser and brazile, have contacted Dr. Sava(Medstar head of surgery) to take over the situation and called in CIA connects to do security while they either: finished killing Rich or moved him somewhere else for more interrogation(which is what i think happened) we don’t know. Chauvin received a COMMENDATION medal after he arrested violent gang members outside El Nuevo Rodeo in 2008. Cup Foods owner, Mahmoud Abumayyaleh, a Black Lives Matter activist from the Middle East, whose employee called the cops on George Floyd for passing a wet $20 counterfeit bill, knew George Floyd - who was a regular at the store. Who else did Mahmoud know? Cup Foods has a checkered past. It was Mahmoud’s Facebook post that announced George’s death and called it a racist murder.
The day after George’s death, Mahmoud went on every major network to tell his story and called for the immediate arrest of all 4 officers. His partners at CAIR did the same thing. Within 6 hours after George died, a “community journalist” associated with Mahmoud and BLM had sent the “video” to the media & the family hired Ben Crumb, the attorney behind Trayvon Martin, and Shaun King of Black Lives Matters was ratcheting up the noise. Within 12 hours, Frey held a press conference with the MPD. Within 18 hours, all 4 officers were fired. An hour later, Frey led a Town Hall on the case. It’s like it was all planned ahead of time.

Like I said earlier, my Dad was in construction work. And he was handy with a dollar.

One time a whole bunch of bathroom tiles, those little things that are normally affixed to some sort of webbing, the tiles attached in a pattern with the webbing allowing them to be glued to the wall in one piece and then comes the tile grout.
Only my Dad’s employer at the time, Baltimore Contractors, wonderful friends of Nancy Pelosi’s father, then mayor of Baltimore, had a bunch of these tile things left out in the rain and the webbing fell off. The construction company threw it out but that night my father brought home three big boxes of little tiny tiles, some rectangular in shape, some diamond shape, some circular. Thousands of these tiny tiles and guess what?
I spent the next two weeks creating a design using little rectangle tiles surrounded by diamond tiles with circular tiles on the outside. This way my father could trowel on the grout, use my design to place the tiles in the grout then grout the insides of the tiles.
Every day, three and a half hours arranging tiles and soon our whole bathroom was covered in them.
Heh.
Memories.
But my father got them all for free. Just a little work is all.
