Facebook Plans to Inform 160M Users ‘How to Vote’ in 2020 Election

Facebook launched a new program to incentivize its users in America to vote in the 2020 election. It announced that the platform plans to help 4 million people go out and vote.

The move comes amidst massive internal and external pressure on the company to restrict or censor content from President Donald Trump. So far, Facebook has not agreed.

“People want accountability, and in a democracy the ultimate way we do that is through voting,” wrote CEO Mark Zuckerberg in an op-ed for USA Today. In a company blog post, VP of Product Management and Social Impact Naomi Gleit wrote, “We surveyed potential voters and 62% said they believe people will need more information on how to vote this year than they needed in previous elections.” The company plans on giving more information on “how to vote” through its “Voting Information Center.”

All the time now I have to dig for what once were neutral areas for photos etc. Th other day no matter what I entered in Google Images on criminals attacking police officers all the photos were police attacking criminals.

I’ve watched access to photos dwindle further and further ever since Trump won the election. There’s an all out effort being made by those who control data, photos etc. they have individual responsibility for.

I remember hearing stories that Google was gonna help the Chinese to censor the internet in China. That's easy to believe. Google has been doing the same thing here in America for the last 15 years. Censoring the internet.

Not a FacePlant user but if they intend to only remind people to vote, that is fine. But if there is even a tiny whiff of partisanship or instructions on who to vote for, take FB offline and sue Phuckerburg for every cent he has.

Actually I would like to give him a choice: shut down FB and:
a) your family and shareholders get to keep their fortune but you hang,
b) your family and shareholders lose their fortune and you live but rot in jail for life.

There should be severe consequences for abusing the rights others have died for and using those rights against the very society that provides them. Are you listening CAIR, MALDEF, SPLC, etc?
