The name of the group is in the news reports. Center for something something. Never heard of them before.

I think I found it. And, quelle surprise, it's the UK...

Google kicked ZeroHedge off its ad platform, put The Federalist on notice for racist protest content

...The Center for Countering Digital Hate, a British watchdog group.

It’s more like the Russia hoax and genuine foreign interference in our elections.

Their only concern was offending the advertisers.

Odd that this only became their "concern" when NBC urged them to do it. I guess they don't notice problems with "racist" commenters on websites unless NBC brings their attention to it.

Seems as if it was a problem for advertisers, the advertisers would be the ones complaining, not the competition.

I hope they get an anti-trust prosecution dropped on them. No company deserves it more.

Justice Department to Propose Limiting Internet Firms’ Protections. The action follows President Trump’s executive order seeking to weaken broad immunity enjoyed by Facebook, Twitter and other platforms.

That's some good news, but I worry that it is more of an election year effort to gin up voters than a serious effort to reign in these totalitarian bastards.

Google has been told by the advertisers what they do and don't want.

If it reaches the point where the advertisers have to complain Google isn't doing it's job protecting them.

Google has been told by the advertisers what they do and don't want.

If this were true, they wouldn't need NBC to go looking for undesirable content. The advertisers would have told them where they didn't want their ads to run.

This is a lie to justify what they want to do.

And the Federalist comments is chock full of leftist idiots spewing their vomit incessantly, so diversity of views is certainly not an issue. But diversity isn’t good enough as long as there are conservative voices being expressed.
