Back in 1943, MGM released a short on Glacier and Waterton NPs. In it they said that the glaciers have been receding since the last Ice Age 12,000 years go, “And if there is NO CLIMATIC CHANGE, they will be gone in a thousand years.”

So, no matter what puny humans do to stop the melting of the glaciers they will still melt until something hurls us into a NEW ICE AGE which was supposed to begin in the 1970s.

And what is a thousand years in geologic time.
