Mayor Bill de Blasio on Sunday fired back at Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s threat to shut down Manhattan again if the city didn’t enforce social-distancing better — saying through a rep that “imprisoning people” isn’t the answer.
“We must balance safety with people’s need to reopen their businesses,” a City Hall spokeswoman said in an e-mail.
“We had social distancing ambassadors out all weekend distributing masks and encouraging people to disperse after making their purchases.

People stupid enough to elect and re-elect these two deserve what they get.
But they shouldn't be allowed to infect the rest of the country.Blow the bridges and build a border fence around the state.

The closest NYC can get, if they want to ‘get back to normal’ is what cities in Asia are doing, which is universal mask usage in public places, temperature checks, and more. And that’s because NYC’s ‘normal’ is no different than that of the packed-in Asian cities (particularly regarding transit).
Short of that, they’ll have to deal with huge numbers of deaths, again and again.

I absolutely despise the government and their hypocrisy, especially Cuomo since he’s the topic of the article.
Especially since NYC’s army of contact tracers are not allowed to ask if anyone has been to a protest.
Don’t ask, don’t tell WuFlu version.
Let’s not kid ourselves, the governor and the mayor encouraged protesting. They and other politicians are full of themselves and something else repulsive.
Upstate NY county health departments are trying to hide or are hiding cases associated with the protests.
Not only that, but I’m willing to bet mandatory quarantines are not being enforced on positive protest attendees or their close contacts.
Anything for those $^$#$# to kick at the pricks.
