The way I see it, the Democrats are screwed for 2020 - they probably should have nominated Bernie - he was a communist - but at least he knew how to do politics.

It doesn’t really matter what state they are from, that’s a very overrated reason for choosing a running mate. The last running mate to “deliver” a state that otherwise would have gone the other way was Muskie (Maine, only 4 votes) for the democrats in 1968.
There are not many politicians popular enough to secure their state as a running mate (and flipping a state that leans the other way is even less likely). Klob has been very popular in MN and might have precluded Trump carrying that state but of course she’s off the list now.
The Mayor of Atlanta isn’t going to bring Georgia to Biden and an Orlando Congresswoman isn’t going to bring Florida.
What’s important is now they play nationally. Why would he consider Warren? He’s traditionally been to the right of the center of the rat party which is moving further and further left and the far left doesn’t like or trust him, the Sanders people. Warren, while not on AOC level is much closer to the progtard wing of the party.
However I’ll note that progtards feel she flipped flopped on several issues and betrayed Bernie Sanders so they don’t like her so much any more. So really the only people that would be pleased with Warren are upper middle class liberal woman who still vote for Biden even if he personally raped them or their daughters. Meanwhile her anti-wall street stance would scare anyone with money while her shill demeanor turned off male voters. She’s also too old considering Biden’s advanced age. So I agree she’d be a terrible choice. I hope her picks her!!
The only choice for him should be whether to pander to Blacks or Hispanics (only 1 Latina on the list, Governor of NM). Tammy Duckworth (Asian) has also been mentioned but that would be foolish of him.
I would bet heavily that he goes Black, which means Harris, Demmings, Lance Bottoms, or Susan Rice (unlikely). Probably one of the first 2.
It will be Susan Rice to provide cover for them both.
