Why would he want the cops to harass peaceful protestors?

(The above is not a statement of And justfact. It is either opinion or satire. Or both.)

Their job wasn’t to sit down and do nothing. Their job was to suit up, get outside, watch the looters and do nothing.
To: kevcol
And had they interfered with the looting (now a racist word) they would have been punished as well.

It’s hard to tell what Bobby Rush is saying under normal circumstances. It must have been a real challenge with his wearing a mask.
“Dey bin nafin in ma orfith, drintin’ may copfe, and foffin’ ma fofco.”
To: kevcol
Evil cops had no masks on and were violating the 6’ rule!

the officers involved had 'unmitigated gall' to be taking a break there 'while looters were tearing apart businesses within their sight and within their reach'. So are we to think that Rep Rush and Mayor Lightweight are against protesters?
Who knew!?

Definitely a wise move on the cops part—better to be punished for drinking coffee instead of working than to be sent into harms way knowing the Police Chief and Mayor don’t have your back.

I am not sure why every cop in a leftist controlled city or area does not simply quit today.

All Party affiliation is, of course, suitably expunged...
Where, exactly, is this “Press”, protected by the First Amendment?
In this critical hour, we need one.
To: dfwgator
The “Leaders” should be at the point of the spear to preclude inappropriate behaviors.
The cops are there to back them up.
