Joe Biden's presidential campaign on Thursday called for Facebook to change its rules about posts from politicians and to strengthen its policies against election-related misinformation.
In an open letter from the former vice president and presumptive Democratic nominee's campaign to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, the campaign urged Facebook to make changes to the platform's hands-off approach to political speech.
The letter calls on Facebook to "proactively stem the tide of false information" by fact-checking election-related material that goes viral.
It also urges the social media platform to fact-check political ads two weeks before elections. Facebook has faced intense criticism for not subjecting ads from political candidates to fact-checking.
Finally, the letter asks Facebook to apply clear rules prohibiting threatening behavior or lies and how to participate in an election.
The campaign is asking supporters to sign a petition backing the same changes. (Mob Rule)

Zuckerberg will yield at a time late in the presidential race, say September or early October, that any attempts to compensate for the bias will be too late. Biden is awful, but don’t think for a minute that the left and the Deep State can’t steal this election. All they need to do is get several states under questionable voting issues on Election Day, and the GOP will fold up in a matter of a week.
Make it simple: pro-Trump or pro-conservative or pro-America equals “hate speech” and is banned./sarc

If you have a problem with their fact checking don't rely on Facebook for your news. I don't.
I don't see what's so difficult about saying, 'no' but for some reason some people just can't hold their ground.
Zuck don’t want to lose his section 230 exemption, but he will anyway, and after that why not censor and edit?

Biden doesn’t like people watching the video where he calls Christians terrorists.
Or the one saying he can win elections in the South because he’s from a slave state.
Every time I hear this idea I immediately think of the Jews saying "You don't like Hitler's speeches? Don't listen to them!"
As if that addresses the actual problem of other people listening to them and believing them because no one is allowed to challenge their claims.
