AOC warns of Dems trying to ‘repackage’ push to 'Defund the Police’

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., on Tuesday warned about Democrats and others trying to “repackage” the push to “Defund the Police” to make it more “palatable” to affluent swing voters, amid an ongoing debate on what the left-wing rallying cry actually means.

“'Defund' means that Black & Brown communities are asking for the same budget priorities that White communities have already created for themselves: schooling > police,etc. People asked in other ways, but were always told 'No, how do you pay for it?' So they found the line item," the liberal Democrat tweeted.

Anybody here in a LOT of trouble if their nearest precinct closes down.

Not a little. A LOT.

I’ve never called the police in my life. i don’t think my law abiding neighbors who have half a million dollars up houses are going to start pulling armed robberies in the streets.

Domestic assaults? That’s what brothers and fathers and uncles are for.

Pretty far from the nearest black neighborhood, which will get hit BRUTALLY if the precincts are closed down.

SO BAD. The law abiding folks in those areas won’t know what hit them.

They never learn. Let them try their experiment.

Can it be that the people advocating these “reforms” are truly ignorant of the consequences?

1. You ‘reform’ the Police (Cuomo) by restricting the use of non-lethal tools and techniques such as tear gas, incapacitating chemical agents (peeper spray) and yes, choke holds. This removes the “middle ground” of law enforcement when some force is required, but lethal force is not justified. In this circumstance, the Police will be left with the options of ticketing an offender, or killing them. The predictable result is a spike in POIS (police officer involved shooting).

2. If the AOC’s of the world are successful, they eliminate the uniformed Police and substitute community organizers. That effectively tells the residents, you are on your own. Buy guns and lots of ammunition and protect yourselves, because there will not be anyone helpful when you need to call 911. Until the community organizers show up to enforce the “gun-free-zone” clause of the local Sanctuary City Act. The result, a giant spike in defensive homicides.

Cue the “Sheesh” Headache Guy
