As I was told by an officer who incorrectly arrested a friend with an employment contract having a clause that meant instant termination for an arrest, “That’s not my problem, let the jury sort it out.”
In right to work states, due process is not necessarily required for termination. That’s up to the policies of the employer, within restrictions of Federal and state law.
Again, apply the same rules to everyone.
I’ve been an employer for 40 years. I know how it works.
Working at a 7-11 is different than having a job as a police officer.
Name another cop that was fired instantly even before a cause of death was determined.
Or to make it easier on you, name a cop who was fired immediately before any investigation took place.
I’ll wait while you Google that.
Actually one happened this past week. They were arrested and charged immediately or close to immediately, before any extensive investigation could be carried out.
Whoops, sorry, wrong incident. That was February. Locally we had a cop who resigned ahead of being fired after misconduct.
Aaron Dean shot Atatiana Jefferson for legal conduct on October 12, 2019, resigned instead of being fired on October 14 and was charged immediately. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shooting_of_Atatiana_Jefferson

Two Fort Pierce police officers have turned themselves in connection with an incident at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center.
Officer Albert Eckrode, a four-year employee, turned himself in Thursday night, while Officer Monica Frederic, a one-year employee, turned herself in early Friday in connection with the Feb. 20 incident.

So after months of investigation they were charged. And?
