FakeNewsMSM in Australia have gone to great lengths to hide the socialist ideology of some of today’s Black Lives Matter protests.
and MSM have infuriated millions by pivoting from lecturing everyone about lockdown rules and social distancing to excusing thousands marching shoulder to shoulder through the streets:

behind paywall. refers to Supreme Court decision Friday that Sydney protest would not be lawful due to covid restrictions etc, but an appeal minutes before today’s protest was won by New South Wales protest organiser, RAUL BASSI:

Chief Justice Tom Bathurst said the reasons for the decision would be published early next week.

the day passed peacefully, it seems, until the very end when a few rabble-rousers in Sydney managed to attract a bit of pepper-spraying from the police in a train station or something. didn’t watch a minute of it, but have seen mention of it online. gave the FakeNewsMSM something to criticise the police about!

SBS Australia: Police have pepper sprayed protesters at a CBD train station following Sydney’s largely peaceful Black Lives Matter protest.

in Australia, the Green Party is closely associated with the protests, and Greens MP, David Shoebridge, has been the acceptable, go-to guy (as opposed to Raul the socialist) for much of the FakeNewsMSM.

Protesters arrested at Town Hall, rally gets green light
Queensland Times-4 hours ago
NSW Greens MP, David Shoebridge, who is working with the organisers, said the appeal followed advice from the legal community that the ...

Raul the socialist had no trouble getting the NSW Supreme Court to hear his appeal on a Saturdaym within hours of the original decision:

6 Jun: Brisbane Times: Court of Appeal rules Sydney Black Lives Matter protest is authorised
By Georgina Mitchell and Michaela Whitbourn; with Tom Rabe
In an urgent hearing on Saturday afternoon, Chief Justice Tom Bathurst, Court of Appeal President Andrew Bell and Justice Mark Leeming ordered that the assembly at Town Hall in the CBD – planned for 5000 people – was authorised...
The decision was delivered at about 2.45pm, 15 minutes before the planned start time of the demonstration. Crowds who had gathered for the protest cheered as the news filtered through.
Organisers initially liaised with police last week to gain approval for a 50-person vigil...

However, organisers subsequently updated police that more people were expected to attend. Police took the matter to the NSW Supreme Court, which declined to give approval for the assembly due to concerns over COVID-19...
In his ruling on Friday night, Justice Des Fagan said “all of us have given up many rights” to deal with the pandemic, and added that he didn’t “diminish the importance of the cause”...

Chief Justice Tom Bathurst said reasons for the previous decision being overturned would be published next week. The Court of Appeal is expected to say NSW Police had previously authorised the protest, including when the figure for estimated attendees was increased...

In a statement, Peter O’Brien – the solicitor for protest organiser Raul Bassi – said holding an assembly which is considered lawful under the NSW Summary Offences Act provides “certain immunities from criminal liability” for those who take part.
“This decision will, in the opinion of lawyers, constitute a ‘reasonable excuse’ for the purposes of the public health directions issued by the Minister for Health which would otherwise prohibit gatherings in public places of more than 10 people,” Mr O’Brien said...

Greg Barns SC, spokesperson for the Australian Lawyers Alliance, said the decision is “an important win for the rule of law in stopping the abuse of COVID powers by NSW Police”.

Speaking outside court before the decision was overturned, upper house Greens MP David Shoebridge said a “fundamental jurisdictional error” had been made...
