The Pentagon has told Washington D.C.'s National Guard and guardsmen from other states who have are in the nation’s capital not to use guns or ammunition.
The order came from Defense Secretary Mark Esper and made without consulting the White House, The Washington Post reported, and it's seen as a sign of de-escalation of the federal response to protests that sprung up in the wake of George Floyd's death.
Trump has pushed for a strong militarized show of force, calling himself the 'law and order president,' and earning him criticism from several retired military generals, including his former chief of staff John Kelly and former Defense Secretary Jim Mattis.

I have a bad feeling about tomorrow. It’s showing all the signs of them attempting to storm the White House.
Democrats freaked yesterday after they realized the presence of a security force they didn’t recognize. Trump used the NG as bait to bring in Federal troops. He’s one step ahead of the slugs.
I have a feeling that the fur is going to fly over this depending on how accurate all this is. Keep in mind this is MEDIA TALKING.....assume nothing.

I hear ya but like the other poster said, Trump has this. He is prepared for the worst and he knows this is a desperate Deep State attempt to take him down.

Esper was a bad pick from the start—a Big Military lobbyist type.
Amyone who gets close to the 90-8 senate approval that he did is gonna be a bad pick.
And this came only last year. Trump’s personnel advice continues to be the worst advice he gets and follows.
Esper probably won’t be let go, until this Flynn episode is wrapped up and finished. At that point, Esper will disposed of on a Friday night, and Flynn gets the nod by the President.

This coward needs to go, NOW. Reminds me of what leftist (later turned communist) Attorney General Ramsay Clark did to the National Guard troops in DC and Maryland. Literally disarmed them.
They weren’t stupid. Remember the scene in “Aliens” when Vasquez and the tall guy (Mark Ralston) turned in their ammo clip and then put back in their backup clips?
Well, that happened in Baltimore and I suspect in DC. National Guard soldiers are not fools.
