Ok, soooo in about 10 weeks, we have had a national lockdown over a virus scare. Prisons were emptied. The economy was crashed. Just as it started to unleash, a series of communist riots were launched. They are protected by the Democrat party and Dem DA’s refuse to prosecute rioters.
General Allen and Mattis turncoat and publish OpEds against Trump. Admiral Mullen joins in. Call him a threat to the constitution. SecDef says he has ruled out the use of the military to protect DC or stop riots.
On the same day, Obama goes on TV as an ersatz president.
If I saw this happen in another country, I would immediately recognize a color revolution violent overthrow of the government developing.

What is not being said is that the generals are afraid that if the troops are called on to repel or shoot rioters, the military will have been drawn into a domestic race conflict. This happened in the 1960s when troops were deployed against race riots in the inner cities. This in turn triggered race fights among troops, incidents of sabotage, refusal to obey orders, and attacks on officers in the field in Vietnam.

After 8 years of Obama’s reign of terror on the officer corps, Trump would have been better served to recall a few reliable general officers from retirement. That would have gotten him through the critical transition period and straightened out the promotion boards.
Since none of them are currently on active service or in the administration it’s hard to view this as a ‘mutiny’. More like disgruntled complaining.

His comment about the Insurrection Act was the main point of why he call the news conference, the rest of what he said, was window dressing. Someone put him up to it. His incoherence during the news conference meant someone made him do it. He is definitely not his own man.
Hopefully, Trump will send his punk ass packing at an opportune moment.
One of Kelly’s creds was his son, killed in action while doing his duty in a far away place. He traded on that, it gave him gravitas and respect.
Kelly dishonors his son’s memory, not just with this cowardly snark, but also when he was Chief of Staff and running interference against the President.
