Isnt that special. The ACLU has been conspicuous by their silence during the pandemic. Not even a generic press release reminding our elected officials to be mindful of protecting people’s CIVIL LIBERTIES. Their silence spoke volumes.

Monahan claimed officers dispersed the crowds after they began throwing “projectiles including bricks, frozen water bottles and caustic liquids.” “As many of the protestors became more combative, continued to throw projectiles, and attempted to grab officers’ weapons, officers then employed the use of smoke canisters and pepper balls.” Chloroacetophenone (CN) and chlorobenzylidenemalononitrile (CS) are two of the more common compounds, but pepper spray is also considered part of this larger category. Intelligence had revealed calls for violence against the police, and officers found caches of glass bottles, baseball bats and metal poles hidden along the street.”
