Knee-on-neck cop is now on suicide watch.
The defense is allowed an alternate theory, Here’s an alternate theory: suspect resisted arrest, viz., being placed into the police cruiser, because he was facing three times and you’re out because of illegal drugs in his system, whether or not he passed counterfeit money. (This assumes two prior felony convictions.) Plus his judgement was impaired by the drugs in his system. The fentanyl made him think he was invincible and the methamphetamine gave him energy. In such a circumstance, it is difficult to subdue a suspect resisting arrest. Suspect had difficulty breathing because of the heart attack. Suspect died of a heart attack and not because of the foot to the neck.
As for the counterfeit money, if the counterfeit money thing is true, we may be talking of a pretty well-organized crime organization. This wouldn’t be some small time operator selling loosies to underage kids (like Eric Garner of Staten Island, a few years ago). But, the community needs to blame somebody for the tragic waste of so many lives, and they can’t blame the welfare system.
Re: “Floyd died of asphyxia from sustained pressure on his neck and back.”
The Medical Examiner suddenly changed his mind?
Here is what the Medical Examiner told the Prosecutors when they wrote their Criminal Complaint...
“The autopsy revealed no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation.”
“Traumatic asphyxia” includes the obstruction of normal blood flow to or from any part of the body.
Why would they administer it when they didn’t know he was on it? I doubt Floyd told them he was high on Fentanyl, or do cops regularly dose suspects with Naloxone?
First autopsy said no evidence of asphyxiation. But of course the victim had a heart condition and drugs in his system. Strange toxicology tests usually take weeks. Thankfully the family called in Dr. Baden for an independent autopsy. From my 20 years in prehospital care narcan would not have been appropriate in Mr. Floyds case. The Hennepin County medical examiners is trying to bail out the cops and politians

Meth and opiates on board. The cop did not kill him.
It’s past time to shut down the rioting, illegitimate adult children, too. Police should use skip shots again.
That Floyd was no saint is no excuse to kill him. He never posed a lethal threat to anyone. Once he was unconscious the police had a responsibility to perform basic medical care. Instead they kept a knee on his neck for two minutes before checking for a pulse. The police's actions are inexcusable, even if the riots never happened.
These mayors and chiefs of police must know where the flashpoints are in their cities. Or potential flashpoints.
Why don’t they hire tons of black cops and arrange their deployments to patrol these neighborhoods. Take the X factor out of the equation. Isn’t this a common sense approach?
Why is it seemingly so hard to do? You’d think it would have been done anywhere by now. It’s been 30 something years since Rodney King. We’ve learned nothing. We’ve changed nothing.
They released toxic screen?
