Actress Susan Sarandon is among a growing number of Hollywood and entertainment figures who are promoting an effort to defund of police forces even as rioters continue to lay siege to major cities around the country by setting fires and destroying private and public property.
The demands to defund the police gained momentum on Twitter on Sunday as celebrities and other influencers began amplifying the call to their thousands of followers. The hashtags have also been promoted by Black Lives Matter and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI).
Susan Sarandon is the most prominent celebrity so far to call for defunding police forces, echoing a similar demand by the Sunrise Movement, a far-left climate-change activist group.

I’ll field that one. They will call their armed private security.
But the wealthier ones will have their own armed bodyguards (yes, Rosie O’Donnell, I’m talking about you). So for them, no phone call will be necessary.
Of course., they aren’t called hypocrites for nothing.
Celebrities will have their own Police Force ?
Your city can have a police force, which must provide their own equipment and vehicles at their own expense without receiving a salary, pension, health care benefits, compensation for injuries in the line of duty, or any other public support. Presumably, the second amendment no longer applies either, so you cannot buy a gun nor ammunition nor use any such gun to defend yourself, your family, your property, or your neighbors. Government agents with salaries and benefits still can arrest you for attending church, violating social-distancing edicts, operating an honorable enterprise, opposing the killing of babies, or jogging without wearing a mask or supporting Communism.
Don’t like that proposition? Well, vote these tyrants away from office at the next election. Wherever you live, vote Trump to save lives, even if some Democrat snuffs out yours.
