MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The FBI has been called to investigate after a man died Monday night in south Minneapolis after an encounter with police.
In a statement early Tuesday, police described what happened as a medical incident. However, a video posted on social media shows an officer kneeing a man’s neck to the ground for several minutes. Before he goes unconscious, the man, who is black, repeatedly tells officers he can’t breathe.
At a press conference Tuesday morning, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey alluded to the graphic footage, saying: “I believe what I saw, and what I saw was wrong at every level.”

I’d have to say that 5 minutes of knee on the neck is enough to kill depending on how much pressure was exerted.

I saw the photos. Police should not be kneeling on some ones neck like that for a long time. Many police are out of control.
White Privilege means hardly anyone cares if the police kill you.

My perception of the police radically changed a few weeks ago when the NJ Sheriff told the chinese virus protestors their Freedom of speech and protest no longer applied.
I no longer feel police will protect are 2nd amend either. If they are told they will lose their job or pension they will take away our guns in a heartbeat.
That was murder. Kneeling on the man’s neck for minutes after he becomes unresponsive, after he loses control of his bladder.
Murder.
How do you resist when someone has a knee on your neck? I assume your favorite ice cream flavor is boot polish.
I think I’d die if someone did that to me.
