I’m a licensed real estate agent in New York, and I’ve heard that the Department of State is issuing fines to any real estate agent who engages in any kind of work during lockdown.... They’re sending testers out posing as buyers and fining agents who set up appointments to show them properties..... I even heard that an agent got fined for picking up a check from an attorney’s office!..... It’s considered “illegal non essential work”.... Not only can’t we earn a living, but because we’re licensed by the State, they’re going to entrap us too!

I work for a company that has been in Upstate NY for 75 years - we have been talking about moving to Indiana since 2018. This might push us to our decision.
All of our retirees move out of NY as soon as they can sell their house.
