Reps. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and Mike Johnson, R-La., on Monday night said FBI Director Christopher Wray "has declined to respond" to their May 4 letter seeking information and interviews with key FBI officials after the bombshell revelations in the Michael Flynn case -- prompting the lawmakers to take matters into their own hands.
"Because Director Wray has declined to respond to our request, we are forced to write to you directly," Jordan and Johnson wrote in an extraordinary letter to FBI agent Joe Pientka, who participated in the January 2017 White House interview that led to Flynn's prosecution.
Fox News previously determined that Pientka also was intimately involved in the probe of former Trump aide Carter Page, which the DOJ has since acknowledged was riddled with fundamental errors and premised on a discredited dossier that the bureau was told could be part of a Russian disinformation campaign.
Pientka was removed from the FBI's website after Fox News contacted the FBI about his extensive role in Crossfire Hurricane Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) matters -- a change first noticed by Twitter user Techno Fog -- but sources said Pientka remained in a senior role at the agency's San Francisco field office. The FBI told Fox News shortly before Pientka's removal from the website that reporting on his identity could endanger his life, even though he serves in a prominent senior role at the bureau.

I think that once President Trump is re-elected, Wray will be one of the first ones to go. I wouldn’t be surprised if they haven’t got a list on him, and are checking it twice. When he does get the boot, they’ll want to make sure the reason why is fully documented.

I’d like to know too .....Just one question: Who told Mifsud to tell Papadopolous that “the Russians” had dirt on Hillary?
I suspect it was Stefan Halper. At first I considered Christopher Steele as his control officer since Steele was reported separated from MI6, offering plausible deniability - sort of the appearance of a rogue operation if uncovered. But as the intricacy of the whole off shore intel operation emerged, and the smell of Halper intruded, I changed my guess.
It appeared last summer that Joseph Mifsud had resurfaced and right where he was expected to be - the Link Campus in Rome. Apparently that sighting has not been confirmed. My thought at the time was that Mifsud had 'disappeared' to protect the myth of Crossfire Hurricane that the counterintel operation began in July of 2016; obviously Mifsud's involvement extended back at least to early Spring.
Mifsud's involvement was not rogue. Italian intel became involved in trying to set up an orphan server in the US that would imply a direct connection between the Russians and the Trump campaign. Their unwitting dupe got wise to them and it has caused great embarrassment and a shakeup in the Italian foreign office.
In places it appears the coup cabal was the gang that couldn't shoot straight. The fate of FBI agent Pientka and contract agent Mifsud may countermand that view.
This is surprising how? Administration officials have been ignoring House subpoenas for as long as Trump has been in office.
Why dont they just subpoena him?
Wray is a swamp creature. Trump needs to fire him.
